Makes no difference. Use your computer the way you want to; not the way you think you should in order to preserve a replaceable part.

Does this mean we can force those bastions of "traditional values" to pony up any pay due property taxes on their multi-million-dollar facilities?

I believe this falls under the umbrella of separation of church and estate. :p

    First impressions:

I like the version with the blue colored area.

The placement of "consultant" seems odd to me. I'm not sure if you're a Sales Rep Consultant (and it didn't fit on one line), or if you're a Sales Rep and a Consultant.

I'd be curious to see what the card looks like if the letters within the blue area were black rather than the light color.

    Thanks for your opinion.

I have added image with black text replace the lighter colour. (Image 3)

I added consultant there because my role is kind of both, but more of a rep than a consultant (mainly added it because I wanted to cover the empty space).

Also, I added a green business card for a fruit and vege business. Is it too green in your opinion? As you can see Im a fan of 2-3 colours per image only ^^''

    Again, appreciate the help.

WOW! My wife and I just finished seeing this film, it is a fantastic movie that we whole heartedly recommend. Honestly if you are in the mood for a truly astounding movie that will move you, The King's Speech is it! Came in from Netflix yesterday.

This is a feature I just saw. At the end of lines, if the word is longer, it will spilt it like in books.
    e.g.:
    The dog is hun-
    gry

    vs.

    The dog is
    hungry

I am used to it doing the bottom way, and would like to change it back. Any suggestions, and is this new?

Thanks for your reply, glad I could help you, but I just tried your method and it didnt work for me, I put the speakers through usb sound card and headphones through built in but this time the speakers got louder when i seleceted which deck to listen to with "headphones"

Some screenshots of my set up...you appear to have one more input than me on ur usb soundcard :S Which card do you have? Any ideas on my problemo?

Dont know why it is calling my USB soundcard headphone :/ thought he headphones do need a usb to power them

    I've got one of these:

    http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=behringer+u+control&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=5457175468360533362&sa=X&ei=5U11Te7cHseShAf1xLVC&ved=0CB8Q8gIwAQ#

Its very cheap, the inputs are just line in.

What exact soundcard do you have? And what controller are you using?

Also what do you mean by your headphones needing usb power?

By far the easiest solution is to buy a better external soundcard, one with 4 outs to enable monitoring. Sound quality will increase and latency will be reduced.

Just looking for a AirPlay enabled dock or speaker system that'll allow me easily stream audio from my iDevices. Does any one have anything like this or have any recommendations? The easier the system is to use the better. Looking to keep it under $300. Thanks!

The JBL On Air was released yesterday and is available for sale. Picked one up at BestBuy, but I would not recommend. The sound coming from this thing sounds like a clock radio with no warmth whatsoever. For $350, I would expect this thing to rival the Bose Sound Dock or the Sonos S5. Even the discontinued JBL 200P sounds much better.

I hate to say it, but that doesn't look too far off actually. The Pismo is highly desirable as the last PowerBook with modular expandability and an excellent keyboard. It doesn't have a full 1GB of RAM or a G4 daughtercard, but it's not the idiotic buy that everyone seems to think it is. There are a lot of Pismo die-hards out there.

You might consider an OWC enclosure. (macsales.com) I just got one of their 2-drive RAID enclosures and I really like it. The fan is pretty loud when it's running but I use it for media file backup so I only have it turned on when I'm actually using it so it doesn't bother me.

When you first launched this DailyTunes website, I asked Arn if we would be able to get songs that we no longer recommended deleted. He replied that he might implement a way to remove songs that have no recommendations. Upon hearing that, I have submitted many, many songs.

Well, months later, there are several songs which I no longer recommend and they have zero recommendations or just mine (at this point). Music is like fashion and people, being human, change their minds. Since my handle/name is attached to and displayed by the songs I submitted, I think it is reasonable to allow me to remove that song. If for some reason the good people at DailyTunes feel that they can't bear to delete any songs, at least consider removing my handle from the song so that I am no longer associated with it.

Come on guys, DailyTunes is supposed to be fun - it's not some crusty old institution.

I am asking that you delete those songs without recommendations upon request of the original submitter. I started with 1 song to see what would happen and frankly I didn't think it would take this much effort to persuade someone to do it.

Did you even bother to go to the WPC website and read about them, or is this simply some knee jerk reaction you're parroting from a right wing bloviator?

The name of the group is sort of odd, but reading through it, they are taking a different approach to racism and that is to be commended.

Somehow given your history here, I doubt you'd have problems with the seminar if it concerned right wing principles.

Did you look at Matt's link? The site has an About page that saysThe Blaze is a news, information and opinion site brought to you by Glenn Beck and a dedicated team of writers, journalists & video producers.FWIW

I have a highend PC running Windows XP pro. Athlon 64 w/ 6600GT 256mb and 2Gb of DDR400 (low latancy), and two hard drives in RAID0 (2x 160GB).

I use the system for allsorts of things, games, internet, email, dvd's, creative stuff like messing with video/images that sort of thing (i have a good size Dell screen (24inch) which makes it a nice machine for playing DVD's in the bedroom. The thing is loud though, i mean too loud to have on when im trying to work proper and im not playing music or have something else as a distraction. Even playing some RTS's can become annoying cos of the noise..

I was waiting on the outcome of the apple expo to see if there were any updates. But there is also this Intel thing. the MacMini looks good but i want a system that will expand like a PC and the mini is crippled from the offset with that graphics card (i dont like ATi stuff in general either anyways) and the hard drive is way too small. The iMac G5 is a lil better but its still a bit lacking, i read a review and they said the graphics card is the limiting factor for 'future' potential and its not a good system if you like to play games too.

I think the Pmac is the only option for me, you can get a 6800 ultra for it so that should be a nice upgrade to whats in my a64 right now. There isnt one certain game i play in windows, and ive looked over the games for Mac on apples site and the good ones id play seem to be all there (UT2004!! Fine with me.) but im looking at spending a good chunck of $$$ on this - the pm isnt cheap.

I was considering moving to an apple system in Feb but i ended up upgrading my pc instead because i wasent totally sure. Now ive made the choice im thinking i should forget it now that apple have said they are changing processors. I wuld like to buy a 2.7 G5, 2gig RAM, 2x 400gb HDD and the 6800 Ultra and hook that up to my current dell monitor but i want some info about whats coming soon.

Is it worth spending on the current systems, cos if i buy software (like i get photoshop with it) and they are moving to intel it seems kinda pointless. Like im wasting my money - i wish apple would announce something to let people interested in switching know what the score is. I read different stuff but most people are saying the G4/5 is dead, and apple arent gonna be spending anymore time on it - so even if they keep some legacy support for it to keep people happy that means that osx/software wont be optimized anymore right? They wont focus on making it run better on the PPC when the Intels are the 'new' thing. They will want everyone to get intel for that.

Should i stick it out my PC and wait for the Intel Power Macs? I was thinking of having both but id like to do a complete switch relly. I wouldnt use the PC so it would be pointless to keep it (Ill sell it on QXL i guss).

    edit::

I wuld have already gone ahed with the system if i hadent read up about the intel stuff. i looked in some other forums and i dunno what to make of it, seems like everyone is just bs'ing when they dont know anything for sure. 2006 was when i was told intel systems would arrive.

I would try some of hitachi's drive tools, especially drive fitness test at the very least

    http://www.hitachigst.com/support/downloads/

    Thanks for the advice. :D
When I get home gonna try that.
Btw, I forgot to mention, Smart utility is reporting that load cycle count is growing up at about 4 cycles/min (+/- 2000 when I left home) and about
1 milion Power-off Retract Count .
I dont think that is right. Right?
