I don't know... A lot of people seem to share the opinion that the 5th generation nano is better, and Apple has backtracked before by putting controls back on the shuffle, and even reverting the nano back to the tall design in the 4th generation after the short, stubby 3rd gen. Depending on how the sales have been and how vocal consumers are the 7th gen may regain some of the form and function of the 5th gen.
I actually didn't mind the 3rd gen but IMO the 4th bests the 5th. No one I know embraced the video cam.

They should offer the option of the HD download, just like for their movie trailers. If you have the bandwidth, download the HD. If you don't, download the SD. I won't be buying til at least DVD quality (unless maybe if I upgrade my ipod between now and then, I'm still using a 3G).

Next will be Jobs in the Jack costume, of Jack in the box. Now that would be funny. Maybe this: the stoner guy goes into an Apple Store and wants to buy 20 iMacs. Jobs talks him into one loaded MBP. "You really weren't going to watch all 20, were you?" Jobs asked with the incredulous look mouth. After a pause, the stoner says "Y e a h..they're real...colorful, man. Comcast sells bandwidth to its customers and now wants to get paid on the backend too! If they can't truly provide the bandwidth they claim then they shouldn't be selling it. Asking content suppliers for payment is just plain old fashioned extortion.

Already did that earlier, pretty ****ing useless they were too, weren't really interested in applying much pressure.

Wow, your ins co sucks. Dont they have a satisfaction pledge or something of the sort there? My policy specifically states that any insurance repair will return the car in a "showroom" condition. A glued on A-pillar trim isn't showroom condition.

I have an ipod touch.
I'm getting an iphone this morning.
I want everything from my touch onto my iphone.
Do I just sync the new iphone to my itunes and that's it?
Or is there more to it?

My 4th gen white "classic" is still going strong too. I hope they never do away with the design-- it's so iconic.

Although the only problem I've had with it is when I hook it up to my car's Harman/Kardon... when I disconnect it, it stays in the "Okay to Disconnect" screen and I have to reboot the iPod. :-/

I ordered my entry level 27" thru ebay macmall. their list price is $1,650. I got 10%+$5 ebay bucks. that brings it down to 1,480. that's a hugh saving!!hooray:D

The system would have originally come with grey restore DVDs. You should include them when you sell the system; they also include iLife and any other bundled apps.

Apple uses NTP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol) to set the time on Macs, and host their own NTP time server (you can choose to use your own as well) at time.apple.com. This is not a web server, so you can't use it that way.

That's normal. Apple doesn't convert prices from USD to local exactly. There are lots of factors - tax for one. US prices are displayed without tax, I don't know if Singapore has VAT or equivalent. Import duties etc have an effect as well. Apple do sometimes change their prices to reflect currency changes but they tend to wait until a product is updated. (For example, iPad one was �429 in the UK, iPad two is �399).
An iMac update can be expected to bring it inline with the new MBPs. Expect a processor bump, thunderbolt and maybe improved graphics. There is no strong indication of a timeframe, but I personally would expect one in the next 2-3 months. Nothing sure there though!

I have an iPad 1 and I am really wishing that there was more Ram in it so programs would run smoother and faster. So saw a hack that was suppose work with firmware before 4.2 but I was curious if there was a hack that would allow you to use your flash memory are virtual ram on 4.3.
Sadly, swap file mod doesn't work right as of 4.2. You can still enable it, but it will crash all the time. But a mod like this does exist, so if you're on iOS 3.2.2 or earlier, you can try it.

I just replaced the screen on my 15in early 2008 macbook pro. I booted it up and everything seemed to be working properly. I started messing with changing the brightness and I noticed when I turned the brightness down to one bar, the screen got really bright after a couple of seconds. Turning it down to zero bars didn't change anything.
Can someone help me????

Well I really don't like taking chances after what happened to m other iBook G4 1.42:eek:. And I have to take my iBook to school back and forth everyday. Take it to school and then take it to my Mom's or my Dad's [whose ever day(divorced parents)]. And I really think that my iBook is going to get broken or something is going to happen. So my solution: get another computer. And the computer I'm going to get is the eMac. The iBook will come over if needed, but will primarily be used at my Dad's house. The eMac will be at my Mom's house. She is helping out A LOT - $500. I would use my PC but, she took it away from me as I was bringing my iBook over all the time so she was like, what they hey and gave it to my brother. I can't get it back. So, I'm stuck, and the eMac is the sollution.

160GB Ultra ATA drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW)
