O, speaketh not the name of Satan, for he shalt truly bring despair to us all...or, at least, yet another horrible movie.
Director?? Nay, the Destroyer of IP is he.
I hear if you say his name five times in the mirror - he appears behind you and casts you in one of his movies.... A fate 1 million times worse than death..... :D

so i thought before i started the thread id set the record straight :P
i do download music, not often, but i do do it. regularly im a vinyl guy, i have 1200+ vinyl records, and more CDs than i can think of... i buy music regularly, and only ever download a track if i find something i like, that isnt released yet and want it on my ipod, or for the reasons which i am about to describe
also please note this is sort of a long rant, feel free to browse away from the topic now :D
here goes -
recently i was trying to buy this new EP from a DJ i like... (if your interested, it was the DJ Zinc crack house EP, but any way...) so i thought to my self, ok... lets go to beatport and try to buy it, because as some of you may know, there is a postal strike in the UK, and a lot of things just arent being delivered. . so i go to the website, make my self an account, log in, buy the track, put my card details in, and press buy. but nothing happend :/ its a flash website, and literally there was this loading sign, and then it just went back to the home page. to make matters worse, beatport charged my card, but didnt actually give me the music links. ive emailed them, but still no answer.
so that was try number 1
i then went on to juno.co.uk which is probably one of the biggest music retailers online that i use regularly. however i dont normally buy digital music from them, its normally physical purchases, but as i said, there is a strike, and it could take weeks to arrive. so i go to the digital section of their website. i log in, my card details are already there, i press buy. boom - i get a 404 error. i tried to make the purchase another 6 times. even restared my browser. nothing! luckily, they didnt charge my card.
i think we can call that try number 2!
hopped over to play.com and amazon - they didnt even have it :/
try number 3 and 4 :)
i think you get the point, especially considering that the "tries" go up to 13 :D
so my question is to you guys -
do you think its now morally ok for me to go and download the whole thing on an illegal music website?
let me know what you think :)

With your clip on the timeline, double click it to load it in the browser. Open the "motion" tab in the browser. There's the controls for zooming in and out of the clip and keyframing that action. Turn on wireframes for your clip in the viewer (view -> image+wireframe).

Another vote for the ATI. I like ATI better and their products are better in my opinion. Now all we need is a PowerMac that can run the ATI AVIVO.

This is fantastic. Finally a sure fire way to prove that god doesn't exist and Jesus is a fraud.
I trust that all these people will do the decent thing and renounce Christianity on May 22nd.
I wouldn't hold my breath dates like these have come and gone many times before.
Nothing puts those weirdos off from trying again and again and again

When I was where your at now, someone told me to register a domain name from other than your web host. The reason they gave is that they won't have control over your domain name or do any monkey business with it. Not saying that's true or false, but that's what I was told once.
Also what would happen if you did register your domain name with your webhost but then later decided to change host. Could you point that domain to other host like you can at GoDaddy? Or are you stuck with that webhost?
For ASO, they don't mess with the domain, and after (I think) 60 days you can have it transferred to a different registrar if you want to change web hosts, or you simply don't want ASO to have it. I'm unsure about the policy for other hosting companies.
ASO might make the most sense because they're one of the easiest hosts to work with. No joke: I've had problems that I've labeled as urgent and sent to them through the support system and they've responded within ten minutes. Talk about service.
Anyway, there's plenty of other great hosts out there, and you'll want to look for one with PHP and MySQL, CPanel, and a good ratio between storage and bandwidth.
There's threads about payments, and it really depends on the amount of work they do: graphics, code, backend content system, etc. Hope things start falling into place for you. :)

If someone have 1333MHz ram running at 1066MHz with a 1333MHz capable processor on its Mac pro contact me. May have a nice surprise for first person to contact me
I take it you tried a B1 stepped DP processor capable of running memory at 1333MHz successfully then. ;)

Well I gotta goto bed If you are using bitesms the official release 5.2 didn't give me that bug only 5.3 beta 4. As of a couple days ago 5.3 beta 5 came out and it resolved the respring issue for me. If you want to try the beta you got to add cydia.bitesms.com/ to the sources.

Download the program Yasu (http://jimmitchell.org/yasu/) and run all the cleaning routines. Let the program reboot your Mac and upon that reboot manually reboot again to completely rebuild your startup/shutdown cache. This should help.

I'm in Singapore and want to head up to a launch. Which city would be the best for the iPad 2? Are there any more official apple stores opening between now and the rumored launch dates?

I would like to keep my iMac for at least 5 years.
Then get the new iMac.
Macs are typically the best value new. Yes, the refurb is cheaper, but $158.06. Over 5 years that is $2.63/month.

Alright so I made the mistake of installing lion on my macbook pro and would like to uninstall and restore from my time machine back up. Only trouble is, can I restore from a time machine back up made while was running lion? Or am I going to have to revert back to a point before that? I'll be installing Snow Leopard from an install disc.
I would think not, the lion time machine backups will be backing up lion system files. You would need to use a time machine or clone of the snow leopard since you want to revert back to that OS.

The closest I have is a 130. The Newtons got a bad rap, but I have a soft spot for them all. I also have an original, as well as a 2100.
