Love your vids. Are you sure your taking it back mate, seem to remember you saying the MacBook air was not yours yet you have had it for a long time. It's good to buy apple products but don't be a sheep
Justsaying. Good vid though thanks
As clearly stated at the start of the video - this machine is not mines. Im happy with my previous gen 27". Also re the MBA - if you are a regular viewer, I did indeed mention that it was my dads but having used it for a few days - I liked it and sold my MBP to buy myself a new MBA. In essence, I exchanged the MBP for a MBA - which i've said in countless videos.
I'll be trying out Mafia, Crysis and Portal 2 for game reviews and then doing speed tests - stay tuned.

I'd like to purchase a new fully decked out Mac Pro with the maximum 64GB of RAM, but I obviously don't want to have to pay Apple $3,550 for the extra RAM.
Does anyone have any experience with, or words of advice about, the RAM sold by OWC (sold here (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/1333D3X8M64K/))
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I often find myself increasing the font in firefox, is there a way I can increase the font size throughout the whole of snow leopard? or is there a way I can increase the font on all websites rather than doing it individually for each website?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm of two minds, which I don't think are really all that incompatible.
The cynical pragmatist side says, "hope in one hand and crap in the other, and see which piles up first." Hoping things work out is no substitute for doing something, anything, to make them work out. I grew up around people who took "hope" to suggest they should just let everything go and trust "God" to make their lives work out as "He" sees fit, and that passive attitude disgusts me.
On the other hand, hope is the counterpoint to despair and resignation that the worst will happen despite what we do. Hope can encourage us to take positive action when we would otherwise be discouraged into complacency by the perceived likelihood of failure. I have seen too many people with negative attitudes who have an almost uncanny tendency to get exactly what they expect out of life. Depressive fatalism likewise disgusts me.
The common thread, of course, is that hope is valuable to exactly the extent it gets you off your ass and into the game. Whatever encourages that is a virtue; whatever discourages it a vice.
As for my own sources and objects of hope, that's a bit too personal for PRSI.
Fantastic post... one of MANY! Though it's a terribly embarrassing cop-out, I really couldn't put it any better so I don't dare try, it's hopeless. :p

Something like that should never happen. Did they tell y'all why the power went out? Usually generators are at hospitals for the very reason.

We are talking about a file server on a local network. It's only data transfer bottleneck would be the ethernet connection. The iBooks stock HD could easily keep up with gigabit ethernet.
Don't understand what your "very very slow" statement is based on.
That iBook does not have gigabit ethernet. No iBook has gigabit ethernet. 100mbit is not very fast. We're talking realistically 8-10MB/s, maximum on a 100mbit is 12.5 which you'll never hit.

I'm not saying AV is the best solution, it's got it's flaws, but a vote against AV is a vote to say you are happy with the current first past the post system.
This is exactly what I have been pondering. I don't like first past the post, but I don't like AV either. So on the one hand, why should I vote for a different system that is no better? On the other hand, if I don't vote for some sort of change will I be stuck with FPTP for the next few decades?
I'm voting about 5pm, still have not decided!
All the posters in this thread seem to be for the AV but none have responded with a strong argument for it... Does this tell you something?
I don't think there is a strong argument for AV, but I think there is a good argument against FPTP. Hence my dilemma! Do I vote yes on AV and hope it changes again in a few years, or vote no and hope there is another referendum on changing FPTP to something else in a few years?
Democracy has always been about majority voting, the most votes wins, so if 40% is the most then its only fair to allow that party to govern.
With FPTP you could, in theory, have the party that received the most votes not forming the government. Say you have two parties with a 49% to 51% split, in FPTP the 49% could get most seats and form the government. Not a very fair system!

Hello Everyone,
Is there a way to be able to have an HTML, PSD, PHP template and convert it into a Joomla compatible site? With all of the dynamic features. If this is possible, how do I do that?
Please let me know.

Boxcar was just updated to allow for instant push tweets as well (instead of a 2-min pulling period). I think I'm going to keep using Boxcar because it allows for custom notification sounds when the tweets come in. For example, I like to hear a little "tweet, tweet!" when I get a message vs. the default "tri-tone" sound that the Twitter app offers.
3rd party notification apps will survive because people want features like this.

Personally, I mostly like old school Christmas songs. I have the Time Life Christmas CD set. So, that pretty much has everything you would ever want on it.
My favorite traditional Christmas songs are Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, The Little Drummer Boy and O Holy Night. Favorite non-traditional is Andy Williams It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
I also like 'The Christmas Attic by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (love Christmas Canon) and Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey (picked this up in the bargain bin years ago, not usually a fan of her but its a great Christmas CD).
In that case, have you tried the Carpenters' "Christmas Portrait"?

Hey Guys... I'm really sorry I disappeared.
I totally forgot to check. I'm still here somewhere... if no-one has put a new one up yet I'll do it in a sec.
I'm very surprised at having won.
