No need to choose, you get both :)

Wow, that is great. Does the amount of the student discount depend on school, or is it the same regardless? Also, I called Apple store and they told me that the student discount is anywhere from $50 to $200. I configured the iMac online (Apple's site Education Store) and the difference between a regular price and the student price is $135. $2,349 (reg. price) vs. $2,214 (student price). What am I missing? 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 2TB Serial ATA Drive, everything else is default.

So - for now at least - the recommendation is 720p for HD on the web, unless one is willing to code in a sniffer that detects if the user is on a mobile device and serves one of two versions?

Upgrading RAM does not void your AppleCare, unless you damage something. Obviously, the self-installed RAM is not covered by AppleCare.

Hey guys. I just picked up a Macintosh Plus off craigslist, along with an SE-20 (I believe that's the name) SCSI hard drive. I plugged it all in and turned it on, hard drive first, then the computer. The computer did it's little "ping" dealio when I turned it on, and the hard drive screamed what I can only guess is reading the operating system, then stops, which I would assume means it booted. I'm guessing this is a completely working system, minus the lemon of a monitor.

Basically, I want to ask the guys who love these machines: Any tips for taking it apart to check on it? Is this a known issue with a known resolution?

PS. I lol'd when I saw the keyboard connector.

I never bothered to update my iPhone 3G to iOS4. I thought it would slow it down. Yesterday, I picked up my iPhone 4 from the Apple Store. iOS4 is great on the iPhone 4. But my iPhone 3G still hasn't been upgraded and I don't think I'll ever update it to iOS4. I'm afraid it will slow it down.

I installed iOS4 on my 3G right away and it was great. Definitely not slower in any way, and I still got to use all of the new features besides multitasking and orientation lock. I did get an iPhone 4, but my sister is using the 3G with iOS4 every day and neither of us have noticed any problems.

Hello. I have the IPT 64GB (Fall, 2009 model). I plan to buy one more USB-IPT connection cable. There are products by other companies that are half the price. Do I need to worry about compatibility problem? Thanks.

If your looking for a mouse get an MX700 or MX900, I have an MX700 and it is by far my most favorite mouse. If you can afford it, get the MX1000, it is amazing.

if you dont want wireless get a mx510 mouse with a logictech keyboard.

Wireless you can get the MX700 dual set up. personly I love having a wireless keyboard and mouse

Andy Rubin sounds very wishy washy. Steve Jobs is very clear about it.

Yeah says a person who doesn't understand how Android's model works, obviously. Do you expect Andy and Google to Audit all gazillion different phones and tablets and cars and refrigerators running Android to guarantee you they don't collect data?

He was as clear as it can get - the source is out there - go check out, what I put out doesn't collect and send any data to Google. He also said he wouldn't agree with anyone doing otherwise - meaning the Google partners are expected to be privacy conscious like Google is. And why not - you think people will not sue the hell out of Samsung/Motorola/Sony if they found their phones violate their privacy?

Please include links to any articles posted.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1357743/Cancer-stricken-Apple-boss-Steve-Jobs-just-weeks-live.html#ixzz1EAGvXVtj

Also, the stories been changing a bit between refreshes. Their source is National Enquirer photos published of Steve Jobs, and getting opinions from docs.

The 6 weeks figure is based on a doctor's opinion of the photos. So, take with grain of salt.

iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G absolutely kills it. Everything becomes incredibly slow. Apple should never have let the iPhone 3G get the 4.0 update..

Come on ... Apple got shunned for not allowing the iPhone 3G to get multitasking. If they hadn't updated it all, they would have been criticized to pieces.

I took the post a totally different way. I didn't think the OP was commenting on the persons clothes. Just the fact that he looked "worn down" but he still had an iPhone 4.

Yes but my point is just because some ones appearance is the way it is doesnt mean the person is what you perceive them to be. Taking a picture of something because they have cheap looking clothes but yet have an iPhone 4 seems a bit... lame to me.

And my example of Jobs is, that guy is worth millions he has money yet he wears the same thing all the time... if hes so rich why does he wear the same clothes surely he can afford more? or... maybe hes just likes what he wears and feels comfortable in it. Maybe that old man in the picture above is the same.... maybe he just feels comfortable in what he has. He may not be poor.. just because you believe his appearance is cheap

Is the old website still on your Mac? Does it appear in the sidebar of iWeb when you open it? If so, create your new site and just drag and drop the old pages into the new site.

    Your link doesn't work.
