Lines about 60-70 deep right now. Rumors of only 70 total iPads. i don't think that's true though.

Awesome. :)
If you can, film a video from your phone as you walk out of the Apple store and show the line of people (which will probably be longer as daylight approaches), upload it directly from your 3GS to Youtube, and post the link on this thread. Interview the people in line!!! "Are you excited?" That would be awesome! :D

Well technically... there was a Santa Claus. But he's dead now. Sorry kiddies. He died hundreds of years ago. "And you can find more information at your local library".
Anyway, we can all kind-of assume that EVENTUALLY Moto will release a 7470 or whatever, since they have a 74** series going. Unless of course they go under, or Apple goes to IBM, or they rename the series, or call the next chip the 7456, or what ever.
But calling the 1.25 GHz an overclocked 1 GHz before they even start selling them, is jumping the gun a bit. That's like calling the new 2.8 GHz P4 an overclocked P3 (wait, bad example). Everyone seems to be forgetting that the FSBs are actually 4 x 100 and 4 x 133 (DDR 100 and 133 for AMD). 167 w/ DDR333 is actually pretty cool. Even if it is bastardized.
Don't get me wrong. Apple IS competing against the world of WinTel, and they aren't doing so well in speed or price. I, for one, like it just as much when people have legitimate complaints as when they have a legitimate complement. If we just accept the way things are, they'll never get better. Macs are easier to use, more stable, etc, etc... but they're not as fast. And "Apple is a business" is not a good excuse. It just proves my point. So stop saying, "if you don't like it go buy a PC".
Cuz they will. Duh.
If the new Dual 1.25s are as fast as a ~2 GHz x86, I'd be happy. Have you ever tried to edit video on a PC? Zero to Crash in 60 sec. If the iBook can do some basic stuff like typing letters and surfin' the net, and it's pretty affordable (and light, and sturdy, and has a long battery life), I'm happy. Benchmarks, shmenchmarks, it's real world performance that counts.
When I feel like Apple's acting like M$ (yeah, that's right, I said it), and a >$1000 PC can whip the *** of the $3000+ "Top-of-the-Line" Mac, I'm not happy.
And believe me, yer gonna hear about it.
Now where are the darn 7500 G5s we were promised (please note sarcasm).

I thought Undo may have fixed (strait away) it but that does something evem more bizarre.
If you replace one folder with another of the same name then "Undo" the finder undo's alright, but deletes the file you wrote over, leaving you with only the one copy of the folder.
So it's only really half undone???

Download "Around Me." Wherever you are - it will list everything from gas, motels, Apple Store, hotels, movie theaters, pharmacies, supermarkets etc., using GPS.
Fandango for movies - what's playing around where you are.
Both are free.

As ALAC is a lossless format you are fine to convert to AAC straight from them.
If you already have all the lossless files in itunes just switch your import settings to be 320-AAC , then select all the files you want to convert and select "Create AAC Version" from the Advanced menu.
As for having a whole separate library it is probably easier to simply sort by kind and stick all the AACs in a new playlist, then you can manage your music manually on your iphone.

I think it is a pop account through my DSL provider. Server account settings show it as a pop account for incoming and smtp as outgoing. Is this what you are asking?

Whilst looking at Mac Minis with an educational discount, you could buy a Mac Mini for the same price as a PS3. That's just stupid.
In the end the decision is simply - A competent computer or Dreamcast 2?

That's not true. An alias is just a shortcut, pointing to a location. If you use that method, there will only be one copy of the pic.
You never have to go to the Photo Booth folder. As I said, you can drag the pics directly from the Photo Booth app to whatever folder you want, or to your Mail icon, to email it. You don't need to touch Finder at all, if you don't want to.
There is no setting in Photo Booth to allow changing the default folder. Perfectly acceptable alternative solutions have been offered that will accomplish what you want, yet you reject them because you want the software to do something it's not designed to do. Now what makes zero sense?
Everything you're saying makes zero sense and does not accomplish what I'm looking to do. Also the fact they would make software that you cannot change the save location is the utmost stupidest thing I've ever heard of in my life and this is the only software or application in which you can't.

What is WPA/WEP? What is firmware and where do I get it? Sorry im new to all this.

Yep, I got more Madden/Wii issues.
No more corrupted memory issues since my first incident (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=286434), but now I'm having issues where I get an error message saying my nunchuk has been disconnected OR the nunchuk no longer responds and the game keeps on playing (which means my superstar running back starts spinning in circles or stands still and waits to be plastered by the defense).
Unplugging and plugging the nunchuk seems to stave off issues for 12-24 hours, but it's been a real annoyance for the past three days. Has anybody else have this happen to them?
How charged does it say your batteries are? Is it possible that your batteries are coming loose in the casing? I've had that happen once or twice when my batteries are about to run out.

So I recently posted a thread on how I found an Apple IIe in a closet at my school.
I just got around to booting it up today, and the monitor just says "Apple IIe" and nothing else. I pressed Control-Solid Apple-Reset and it did its hardware test. Everything was fine.
So I'm just wondering how to boot into BASIC... Do I need an 80-column video card in there or something? Inside the computer I only see a floppy card and a 64k memory expansion in the aux slot.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!:D:D
