For actual written fiction, visit:

and click "words".
At the moment, almost all of the material is extracted from screenplays that I've put together: plans are in motion to get "regular" fiction up in the future.

Hey everybody,
Curious if anyone has a solution to this. I have been able to create ad hoc networks on my laptop, while on a train without wifi and airplay video from my iphone to my laptop using Airplayer from Erica.
I am curious, without jailbreaking, is there a way to create a ad hoc network on my iphone or ipad that allows interconnectivity, so that I can use Airframe on my ipad to play videos from my iphone's streamtome or airvideo to the ipad?
See, when I take the train home, which doesn't have wifi, I would like to play movies from streamtome or airvideo (which are stored on my computer at home) over 3g and watch them on my ipad's bigger screen. But with no wifi available, I usually need to create an ad hoc network on my laptop, something I am unclear I can do on the ipad/iphone.
Thanks!

Sorry about forgetting the speed:
It is 1.5GHz, and has 64 VRAM.
Still has original box and all the CDs (Panther).

Is there a simple shortcut or macro in Apple Mail to simplify the HTML tag for linking to a different web page? In other words, instead of clicking on:
http://www.macrumors.com
...I could hide it under "Click HERE" and the HERE would underline and light-up when you hovered over it? If there's not, that would be a good thing to add to Mail in the future.
(Sorry, but I'm just learning HTML...)
This feature won't appear until Mail supports composing HTML emails. It doesn't look like Mail in Tiger (http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/mail.html) will have this feature.

Maybe there's a problem with the iBook's Power Manager Unit (PMU). Look here for directons on resetting it. It's worth a try, as it will not hurt anything.

I edited the main.cf file and replace the "myhostname" with server.$mydomain and then everything started working. The smtp is responding now on both 25 and 587 and I can send and receive mail perfectly.
I want to thank everyone here who pointed me in the right direction. Without your help I could not have fixed this problem.
many thanks!

I have unistalled and downloaded again to no avail. I click open but nothing opens up. Am I just doing this wrong?
thanks
Install it, then look up on the menu bar ...
Set your preferences, i.e., start on login etc., or make a set of settings with different fan speeds.

It only says "the build" so from your description it seems likethe face book app. Try deleting the app then re download it. I doubt the pop up is a problem, unless the phone still isn't working. I would delete the app then re download it then if u get it again u can email them, u will get there e-mail at there iTunes app page.

Or take a look at Media Info Mac. (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/26861/mediainfo+mac)
Thx - I've now used Media Info to extract video-compression-info. I've attached the info here; the first image is the one that works fine on PC, the second does not ... any ideas why??

Wow, Australia has a download limit? Didn't know that. :D
Have you ever gone to the iTunes store and checked how big movie downloads are?
Its days like these that paying $80 for unlimited feels justified.

for a mobile account being administered over a network by and OS X server does it need for the mobile account to be logged in for someone to be able to remotely access the computer? Also what firewalls and protections are necessary to avoid allowing the network administrators to access the computer? Thanks
Remote access is possible with nobody logged in. As for your second question, it sounds like you're asking advice on how to circumvent the security configurations on the computer, so I'll leave that to someone else to deal with.

i had the same probelm until it dawned on me i could just use the horrible windoze media killer from XP on VPC...
That's what I would have used too, if WMP wasn't so jerky on VPC as to be almost unusable...good thing I have a Windows PC (that isn't connected to the Internet, thank god) I can use if absolutely necessary.
