Great! However, I didn't like the black background. Why didn't you use the original background? I agree with skyfex. You should include all faces from 0% - 100%. DOOM DOOM *clap clap clap* DOOM DOOM! :D

Hello Broward! Anyone out there think there will be a line at the mac store at Galleria for the 3GS launch? Do you think they'll run out of 3GS on the 19th as well throughout the day?
Anyone remember how it was on the 3G phone last year? This could be a good indicator.
Thanks!
Alex

i've always wondered why someone doesn't put a small cam in a plugin module, similar in size to a USB cable dock connector. the cam would be facing forward of course, have a light for additional illumination and would be able to communicate with software on the iPhone to do video chatting.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to see one that could point either direction to help out us iPod Touch users that don't have a camera...
Never going to happened. Apple wont allow such device to work with iphone. . . .
From Engadgets coverage of the iPhone 3.0 event:
10:19AM They talk over the dock, and wirelessly over Bluetooth. Things like playing and pausing music, getting artwork or you can build your own custom protocols.
If Apple has provided a means of creating devices that can talk through the dock connector with standard, or custom protocols, how is it that they have any control over the creation of such a device? That said, I'll grant that they do then have control over the acceptance of apps that would use such a device, but that could open them up to even more bad press about their rejection practices...

It will be interesting to see if the actual patent applies to just the nook color (my bet) or extends to both models.

Is this format repliable? Would there be an instance a clone may be more reliable as a backup since it maintains the actual file structure of the drive being backed up?
(I have another identical drive to store offsite so please no lectures on having a drive offsite.... Let's please stick to the questions at hand.)
It's no more or less reliable than any other backup solution. Assuming you will always be backing up to a machine with Snow Leopard on it (or being installed on it), "reliability" will depend on the mechanics of the hard drive itself.

I've always thought that the 'S' was a one time thing used to get the numbering right on the iPhone's sequence, because the iPhone 2 had the number 3 in its name. I think this year's model will just be named iPhone 5.

I am trying to reformat an old lc475 to give to a relative. I have found a copy of my old os 7.6 system software on cd but the external cd drive I have only connects sometimes. It never connects when I make it my startup disc so I can run disc warrior on the 475s harddrive. I have tried using scsi probe but it doesnt help. I seem to remember another programme called silver lining but cant find it.
Any suggestions? does anyone know any freeware that might help me fix what I assume is a scsi problem?

If its a Vizio from any of the VO lines, hit the Vizio button (or menu), go to setup and on the screen options, choose WIDE. It sees that the iPad is 4:3 and is treating it like a 4:3 television channel.
It might also be called Stretch, or Panoramic.

I saw this video a while ago, but I'm first commenting on it now.
The only thing that I didn't like about it is that woman. Who is that woman and why is she there interviewing Steve Jobs? I'm not feeling her at all.

How does that make the 4th gen better? Even if you don't use the video camera, the 5th gen had a larger screen, fm radio, and other features. How can it be inferior when it has everything the 4th gen did plus more? At least people can make the argument that the 6th gen is better because it's smaller and has the clip, but the 4th gen really doesn't have any advantage over the 5th.
Apple is quite interesting in selling products that people end up buying. I _bought_ the 5th gen nano to a large degree because it has a video camera and radio and plays movies. I then didn't actually use any of these to any serious degree, but that's what made me buy it. And that's why Apple put these features into the iPod. Lots of people bought the new nano because of the small size and the touchscreen. In two years time, Apple can release a bigger nano again with a huge battery and people will buy it.
If Apple didn't change products, you would buy a new iPod after many many years only when the old one breaks down. Buy changing the iPod models, Apple sells more. I wouldn't want to know the number of iPods bought as Christmas presents that wouldn't be bought if the model didn't change. At this point in time, Apple has to make iPods that existing iPod owners will buy even when they have a perfectly fine working iPod already.

I bought the zr30w. I actually really like it. Very rich colors and I love the matte! I got one from newegg, came with some lit pixels, but I'm sure they will exchange it as hp guarantees against stuck pixels on their 30"s.
That is great. It has DVI and DisplayPort. Since mDP to dual-link DVI adapter is 99$, just get a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort (http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10246#1024606) cable for 5 bucks. Use that for the MBP and then DVI for the PC. Pretty much all GPUs have dual-link DVI anyway and a dual-link DVI cable is something like 5 bucks too.

I've been getting this weird message popping up in the Console lately:
Jul 2 20:32:01 Jims-Computer WindowServer[438]: CGXDisableUpdate: Updates disabled by connection 0x4c07 for over 1.000000 seconds
Anybody know what it is? My system seems to be running OK, but the message does show up a few times a day in the log. I haven't been able to figure out what triggers it yet, though it always shows up right away after login. And yes, I have repaired permissions.
