I feel bad for any sucker who buys that. These ads are designed to appeal to people who know nothing about computers.

yeah I figured that would be one method but we let our windows users use Windows Media Player so i figured its only fair to let them use iTunes. It looks like we are going to be deploying an OS X server machine so I wasnt sure if there was a group policy setting that I could use to prevent ipod and iphone use on the machines.

I'm considering buying one of those for my Pb. Seems to be a good deal.

I downloaded this last night. I don't use it much, but noticed that the menus are now in the right place, and it doesn't quit when you close the last document. The interface is still ugly though, but I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.

When GE pays their share, Ill pay mine.
Must be nice to have the president as a buddy.
You think the companies that avoid taxes were paying during the Bush years? Cute. :D

My Mac (Mighty Mouse) cursor is all glitchy & jumpy.
I changed the batteries, didn't help.
I restarted my MBP, didn't help.
I turned my mouse off & back on, didn't help.
I turned off BT & back on, didn't help.
Anyone had similar issues? Does anyone know what to do about it?
Thanks in advance

I've had lots of trouble putting 3rd gens into DFU. Try to run out the battery (eg. full brightness and spawnHD so you don't burn the image in), then try to boot to DFU when the low battery sign appears at boot. That worked for me. If not, maybe your lock button is stuck or something, I don't know. I guess you could try to update it, and when iTunes puts your device into DFU by itself, unplug your iPod, close iTunes, and plug it in. You could give that a try but I have my doubts that it would work.

It seems like a mistyped album amount- it is still full price in Australia. Good find though.

So I just got new radiatiors installed in my house. Two of the four were leaking, and one was in the bedroom. I got larger (length) radiators too, so they take up a little more space. In my bedroom, I have two dressers, a nightstand, my desk, and my bed, which is picture one. I am going to need to move things around because I dont think its good to have the nightstand in front of the radiator, since the heat might damage the wood. So I came up with pictures two and three. The other problem I have with my current setup is that my chair hits the railing on the bed, and im kinda stuck close to the desk. The only issue I have with picture two is the dresser that is at the end of the bed, is about 4 feet tall, so it would be taller than the bed. I dont think thats a problem, but Im not sure if that would look right. Thoughts?

I suppose it's Sony's fault for not having a low-speed Memory Stick then. I've found SD's to be perfect. I've played 640*480 H.264 videos off SD cards in the past, heck even MicroSD has never lagged. The comparison was just what one shop here offered, of course it would be different at a pro camera shop or wherever.
I doubt the PSP needs anything faster than that.

Is it possible to make an NSWindow's titlebar clear, similar to Windows Aero? If so, how?

what is going to stop me from renting the movie today....
(making im sure im the first one)
take it home
get the code for the download
and then download the ipod compatible?
nothing is there?
I doubt the rental companies will include any of the special inserts. So, not likely.
The download should work on iPods, iPhones, etc. I'll have my copy of Blue Harvest tomorrow and will know for sure.

I've never heard of lower resolution causing eye strain. If anything, maybe the resolution is still too high? I prefer the higher resolution of the MacBook Air myself (smaller pictures and text, more content in the same 13" screen), but I have no vision problems. Before you spend money on a different computer, I would consult your eye doctor for suggestions on how to make computer use easier on your eyes, or try these tips from the Mayo Clinic (see the second section, titled Tips for computer work):
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/eyestrain/DS01084/DSECTION=lifestyle%2Dand%2Dhome%2Dremedies
There are plenty of other tips out there, just do a web search for "reducing computer eye strain".

I'm planning on heading there later on today... Regardless of the line, I know the apple store will have enough iPads in stock. So i'm not worried.
I might head over at 2:30 (I have to buy some new headphones anyway so I might as well get them before I get the iPad)
I can update the status of the line when I get there

Just because we're hearing about portal player making the chips Now doesn't mean that they were just selected now. Who's to say they picked PP to make the chips before the phones were put into production? The sequence of rumors released doesn't indicate the sequence of events apple is taking.
You'd think that, wouldn't you. But not only is that not the case, the reality is actually worse than I said. Apparently PortalPlayer has until 2008 to put together the chip. That's what the article says...
(Actually the EE Times article is awful and literally backs up MacRumor's summary without actually imparting anything that would give you confidence in it being real. The EE Times article mentions the iPhone once and then switches to talking about "the next generation iPod Video"; I think the author is just confused and wanted to conflate the two for the sake of the headline.)

Minnesota schools (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/minnesota-schools-use-taxpayer-dollars-to-fund-white-privilege-seminar/) like many across the country are facing tight budgets these days. The school board recently announced almost $7 million in cuts and 94 teachers are slated to lose their jobs. But, as the Star Tribunes Katherine Kersten points out, theres always room for in the budget for white guilt.
Boy am I glad that I have no kids in school right now....
Our school system has been set up to perpetuate white supremacy and white privilege, Kivel adds. Poor and minority students do not drop out they are pushed out. We must look beyond our declining empire to exciting progressive developments in Hugo Chavezs Venezuela, he says, including land reform and redistribution of wealth, neighborhood committees, recognition of womens unpaid labor, end of spanking.
As a product of the Minnesota Public School system, I can tell you, without a doubt, that there was no "pushing out" of minority students. There was no "perpetuating white privilege".
And people still have the nerve to complain about school budget cuts. Maybe if we didn't send our teachers to crap "seminars" like this, we could have newer text books, or higher on another teacher, or whatever it is people think we need.

Photoshop newbie here so please bear with me
I've just discovered actions and I had to save myself from swooning. However the one thing I really want to use actions for requires pasting a watermark then moving it to the bottom corner of the image. The images watermarked will be different widths and heights. So far I can only get it to paste at the exact point as the image which I used to record the action. Is there a setting I haven't discovered yet that will let me move it to the corner automatically?
Thanks!
