<snip> This is not an RPG, more like an open ended adventure game.
In any case to answer your question, yes, Oblivion is as open ended as you think.
That actually sounds more fun than an RPG to me. :p I love adventure games, like the original Zelda, before it became overly puzzle based, and Diablo, etc.
Thanks guys, I think I'm going to have to check this one out... on a 360, though, as I have no desire to build a gaming PC or spend the required money on a Mac capable of running it via Boot Camp.

You are laughable. I would love to have a Dual 1.25 even though you think it is slow, I bet it really goes.

They are probably pretty busy, so you should probably wait a few more days, and if you have nothing within those few days, you should contact them. :)
This is my first time placing an order with Switcheasy. Do they normally send out any communication regarding orders? It just seems odd to me that they wouldn't at least send out a confirmation email.

So im quite impressed with D-link at the moment (i hope it lasts). It probably won't. D-Links have setup issues. What I mean to say is, their control panel looks like it was designed by a bunch of blind chimpanzees - once you start setting up WPA/WEP (which is necessary), upgrading firmware, etc. you'll find out.
I'm quite impressed you managed to get through to tech support, though, I gave up after waiting 30 minutes. Twice.
Having said that, my G604T is alright, in that it was the cheapest solution out there, and I've finally found the sweet spot for settings. I think I had about 2 months uptime before it crashed last.

I don't think that one of the calls made in that room today was legit.
Yeah, they even used the reverb and echo effects on the people talking in their phones just to make the phone calls sound more believable (You know, their phones picking up Steve talking, and Steve's phone picking up their talking). And did you notice how Phil Shiller's phone was so staticy? I bet they did that to show how ancient and outdated his phone is in comparison to the new iPhone, while in reality his phone would've sounded crystal clear. They really put some hard work into faking the phone calls and making them believable. Good thing we see through it!

I was thinking today, would it be possible to swap a black iphone 4 (perfect condition), for a white iphone 4?
Could you walk into an apple store and have a swap??
Anyone tried this?

The screen of the MBA is better to program on than the MBP. The extra resolution (1440x900 over 1280x800) makes it so more code is up on screen at a time, which is something I like (I hate scrolling or switching windows).
However, both are far from ideal, most of my programming is done when connected to my external monitor (a beast with 2048x1156 resolution). If I could afford dual 1920x1200 screens, I would go for that as both the current MBA and MBP can drive such displays without any problem.
If you want to start reading up on it now, you can always install GNUStep on your current computer. It implements much of the Foundation classes. However, be warned that it is based on Objective-C 1.x and thus lacks some features (@property and @synthesize for one) and some of the Foundation classes are implemented differently from Apple's implementation. It should still let you delve in the beginning chapters without too much effort.

Music preferences are something that come and go, but at the time you posted your recommendation, you did like it. Personally, I think the post should stay simply because so much of music likes and dislikes are transitory in nature. It would be nice to edit the post and say you no longer like it, but I hardly see the point in deleting the post. Just my 2cents....

OK, am I the only one here that is getting the feeling that we won't even be able to play as our Shepard from prior games, but instead this will be Mass Effect: Black Ops and we'll be stuck as a soldier-nobody on Earth?
So no more exploring the Galaxy and even less RPG elements :(
Anyways, regardless I'll buy this game, as the first ME is one of my favorites this decade. The second one was also really good, but I was unable to finish it until after I found a hack that let me split that asinine-single-action button into individual key-actions and re-enabled crouching.
I hope it runs smooth on macbook pro's. I never played mass effect on a computer, I've always played it on the xbox.

Good question - specs follow:
MacBook Pro
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Ram
250 GB HDD
Those are the most general specs - not sure how to get more data... but let me know if needed.
Is going refurb a bad idea? I was thinking that as soon as I use it, it is "used" anyway...

I have a 2007 MacBook and I've noticed how much crap I have under the keybaord. One of the keys has also become a bit weird. It feels like it won't press down properly.
Is there anything I can buy to safely clean it?

Planning to learn guitar. I have already started with an old (1970's) acoustic Guitar made by my mums friend back in the day. Although its massive, so big i cant even wrap my hand around the neck of it, and i have big hands.
I thought to start of using electric, and have seen a few 'starter packs' which include a some fender, a 15 watt amp with eq and audio in (as well as the audio in for guitar) for ~260. not sure if thats a decent price, what would you recommend?

I wonder how they got to that screen on the Verizon iPhone? I can't find it anywhere on mine. Not that it is a huge deal, just wondered how they got to that screen?

iSCSI is becoming increasingly popular, not only for larger businesses but also to a low budget guy like myself. NAS units are ideal storage solutions and many of them support iSCSI. Microsoft has since long included initiators in their OS. For some reason Apple has not. The reason for this is a mystery, in so many other areas Apple is in the frontline, but not with iSCSI!
There are third party solutions, e.g. a free initiator from globalSAN. Rumors over the last year or so says that iSCSI would be included in Lion. Can anyone confirm/deny?

Hello all,
I got my iPad today and promptly installed AIM logging in with the same username as my laptop so I can occasionally leave my room and continue a conversation on my iPad in the living room.
However, it seems like AIM on my iPad is the only client that gets my messages. Usually logging in at two+ locations will have any IMs received at both locations, but I only get them on my iPad. When I look at my laptop, I can see the person is typing but am not getting anything. I checked the settings on AIM and Adium but nothing stands out.
Odd thing is my roommate set up the same approach with AIM and Adium on his iPad and laptop and he has no problems.
Could anyone help?

Not recognizing the same format just because of a different model name? That's kinda stupid. Now Apple will have to keep putting out updates just to change a 1 to a 2 or something.
I think the reasoning behind this is that the RAW importer has some settings that are individual to each Camera, rather than just being something that can import a certain file format. So officially to get the best results Apple needs to tune the importer to each camera.
Still it would be nice if they just supported the "unsupported" cameras with some default settings.

Based on the current rumors, iPad 3 should be out in September.
The iPad 3 is not going to happen this September. Picture taken by Engadget.com during Apple's March 2nd event.

The issue has been fixed. Apparently the gd_budle.crt although being "optional" according to cPanel, is required. At least that's what I think was the issue.
