That page is more confusing than anything, it states Jackson, Walsh and Microsoft have postponed the project, and on the other hand states that Neill Blomkamp is now directing it. It also states Jackson asked Guillermo Del Toro to direct and he refused.

Sounds like a fair bit of name-dropping there, anything for a bit of free publicity?

I'm fairly sure that from the outset of the film Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh were not directing but producing the film, heading up the search for the rest of the team as well as a fitting script. Jackson is also supplying the full support of his firm WETA Digital, responsible for all the effects seen in the LOTR series. Last I heard the film was in limbo as a result of losing the support of Sony and another big company after the search for a script was taking too long.

Yup, if I had to guess, I'd say most Americans don't live near an Apple Store.

I'm lucky to live between two Apple stores.

One is in a 6% sales tax state, the other in a 0% sales tax state.

Both are literally 35 minutes away.

I like the concept of the pencil and all, but I don't know, the rest of the site wasn't too impressive. For me at least. I like Flash sites and all, but the navigation in a Flash site should be easy as if it were HTML based, just with a little more "eye candy" to it. But, again, it does seem original.

Hi everybody,

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.11 on an Intel Macbook and am having the following problem: the left click seems to be "locked", i.e. wherever I move the cursor it is as if I had done a left click and was holding the button down. The result is that selection windows appear all the time. This happens both when I use the trackpad and when I use an external mouse, so it seems to be a problem in the system. I have tried the following things without success:

- restart the computer
- reset the mouse/trackpad via system preferences
- reset the trackpad by putting my palm on it

I'd be happy if someone could help me on this issue.

IIRC curl (http://curl.haxx.se/docs/manpage.html) won't follow redirects unless you tell it to. It also seems like you can ask it to output how many redirects it was asked to follow in case it does.

EDIT: I just checked this on a site I have registered, but not yet set up hosting for. curl http://parkedsite.com gives no output, while curl -L http://parkedsite.com gives me the Network Solutions "Coming Soon" page.

Yes, light is light. But the price you pay affects quality of build and durability and how much you can trust the lamps color temperature.



A MacBeth color chart or similar device[1] is the right way to address temperature issues in most situations. It also normalizes for lens and body changes, which gives more flexibility and doesn't rely on the maker of replacement bulbs to continue to have a high degree of repeatability in their process (which is a good thing, but something no manufacturer is going to be able to guarantee.)

[1] I prefer the X-Rite Color Checker Passport because it's portable and I can use it in the field under daylight as well as in the studio, though it's not quite as accurate as one of the full-sized digital charts it's plenty good enough for my usage.

I just setup traktor.

I have the following setup

Cheap usb soundcard which is connected to my speakers.

Headphones coming out of my imac's built in output.

Hi : I am a new mac mini user..

I have the Mac Mini Server box and it is all setup and running...To start with i dont intend to use many of the server features...may be later once i get a better understanding of my need...

I try to connect to my home wifi and it says connected but not letting to browse...I assume this got to do with a static IP or DHCP etc..Since we have a windows notebook, iphone and ipad and everything works with that Wifi so i dont want to disturb any settings that could potentially impact..

Has anybody encountered this and what is the solution ??

Hello, so I have created an application that uses the
"Application is background only" plist variable to run my program without a menu bar or dock icon. I have created an NSStatusMenu, and when i click that my main window opens. I am having a problem, however, with the program displaying behind other windows. So if I run my program from xcode, and open the window by clicking the icon in the menu, it will pop up behind xcode, and I have to move xcode to see it. I am sure there has to be a way to make it show it show up on top. Does anybody have a way to do this?

I installed Tiger 10.4 on my Mac G4 and when i got to the part when asked to create and account, i did. Complete with Password and password hint. I completed the installation. But when I rebooted and expected to see the little window showing my username and asking for my password it never came up instead the G4 just booted right into the Tiger Desktop??? Why not ??????
How do i get it to do this????? Help ??!!

I'm going on holiday next month and both my handhelds batteries die after a couple of hours of gaming. I've bought replacement iPod batteries before and they're always terrible knock-offs, and from what I've seen it's a similar situation with the DS and PSP. Amazon is full of them with fake reviews giving them perfect scores, so they're a no-go!

So who do you trust? I'd rather not buy a new DS or PSP since their respective successors could be out this year.

Step one would be to download and run TinyUmbrella, this will check to see just what the previous owner did. If he never saved SHSH Blobs then your only option would be to upgrade to 4.3. There is no real need to jailbreak first.

Ahh, no previous owner as this is brand new iPad on 3.2, so I don't think any SHSH was saved :(

So I am out of luck then to go to 4.2? I pretty much MUST go to 4.3 if I want to upgrade my firmware at all?
