2. I have my 2010 MBP and I just traded a crappy acoustic guitar that I have played twice for an iMac g3. It came with everything just like the day he bought it down to the Styrofoam.

I don't think he was trying to sound like a jerk, its just that you didn't answer the question...
People really do this these days, he was just trying to clarify... Nothing to take offense about.

I came across this from @Danny Choo's website, quite cool pictures. My favourite has to be:

It even has me thinking of getting one of those monitors!

Same problem here. From what I found out it is known that the 360 is not currently compatible with the Aiport Extreme. They said they may address it in a future patch. I'd like to know how to get that without connectivity though.

Yes, I noticed that too. Rubin was asked what data is Google collecting from Android users. He then responded, we are not keeping track of every app you download, "and stuff like that."
What does that mean?
Perhaps he was talking about the way that Apple keeps track of every song or app or video we download via iTunes. They use that information to sell iAds by our location, age, race, sex, income, political and sexual orientation derived from what we buy, etc.
Of course, Google is no saint either.
I'm glad there are volunteer groups that monitor what our devices do. It's like Reagan with the USSR: "Trust, but verify" :)

Hey all.
I use the TextNow app which is great and allows me to not have a message plan. However there is no way to disable the lockscreen preview as per the standard apple SMS app. This poses a bit of a privacy issue particularly at work where I do not want my family texts to be seen by others.
Is there a hack to disable TextNow preview on lockscreen? Anybother thoughts by all here to help?
Thanks in advance.

An Airport reliability fix for Intel iMacs would be nice. Too many threads on that one here. Goodness knows what Apple Discussions is like.
Mhm yeah, they definitely still haven't got Intel Mac airport sorted properly. My Mac mini worked like a charm until 10.4.8 as well, it was definitely that which screwed mine up!
Still, I doubt that'll be mentioned today.

Hi guys,
The time came to buy a new laptop. I really want to get a powerbook 15" with Superdrive but what I do is requiring allot of PC power. I need it for work and what I do is (Actuate reporting, DB2 clients, Oracle clients, Sybase clients, IBM apps such as Lotus notes ect. and ClearCase and some other Rational stuff, also Java web stuff)
I know I can't have it all on Mac it's just won't support all this stuff written for MS.
Is there a way to install an app such as advertized on this forum Pc on Mac to fully support all the apps I need or I might run in to many issues in the future (such as drivers ect.). If I can't do it with Powebook I will have to get Thinkpad T42 or T43 that will run me pretty much the same amount of money. (Thinkpads are good actually very good if not the best but I really wanted to get Powerbook if I can do all I need in it)

Reporting programs and database clients should run well under Virtual PC. Lotus Notes is Mac-native. Java is as native on the Mac as it is on Windows.

Sorry to hear about that, but I've always found that I liked OS X's approach better... just gets rid of the file (which was my intended action). But then again, I am a Maccie for life.
So.
What you can do is chalk it up to "This sucks" and remember to every week or so Option+Drag your important data folder to wherever you think it should be safe. (Option makes it copy while on the same disk. It makes it MOVE it if you do that to an external disk)
Sorry... I have a few month's worth of notes in a Word document and it is backed up even to where it is in Documents to Go on my Palm.

I post the same think, in spanish forums, but spanish people don't like apple in command key :mad::mad: why??
I think the apple icon on the keyboard is a hallmark.
I was born with that key (apple comand) and now when I see it is not feel like I'm missing something
I'm from spain barcelona but I do not feel identified with the Spanish mac users :(

it makes sense to me, my G3 would be too slow for os x (i use 9).

Thanks a lot guys.
I got it working.
The hardest part was subclassing UIView and instantiating it when I need it.
I'm getting the hang of iOS and O-C. Not too bad at all after a month of studying.
