I and others who have had this symptom on the 3G iPhone, did a set up as new phone with iOS 4.1 and since have no problems. You will want to save any pics on the camera roll.
4.1 ain't out yet, so no use telling me that.

My wife likes hers. She uses it primarily as a pedometer and a clock but likes having both the radio and music available to her when she wants it. An alarm app would be nice.

I am not a huge gamer, i would rather go outside and play real sports, so i just got a ps2 because the games are still coming out for them and they are cheap so I have some questions for some good games to get. which madden should I get and also which nba should i get. also what is the best racing game? Also any other suggestions for games. kepp in mind i am not really looking for extreme war games or gta type stuff.

Try logging out and logging back in. If that doesn't work try shutting down and starting back up again.

I'll go against the grain and say keep what you have.
You stated you want to cut down on costs, so unless you are a business doing some funky accounting tricks, your equipment is already paid for. And it sounds like since you do Apple dev as a profession, you may kick yourself in the future for having sold the Mac Pro for a ****** Windows box when you pick up another contract.
I also do contract work, and wouldn't dream of selling my personal equipment I use for business unless it was literally a "sell the Mac Pro or lose my apartment" kind of deal.

I'd get the MBA & Gaming PC.
Just get a minimum i5 quad processor, a high end graphics card, and 4gb of ram (I'm just assuming all you're doing is gaming, so of course just change those specs to meet what you need) and you'll be playing everything far better than you would with that Macbook Pro and you'll still have the Air for portability.

Hi,
I don't understand selectors. I have written this simple code and put breakpoints to look how it behave and "count" should change from 1 to 4 cause breakpoint points 4 times at count++ . Why "count" doesn't change from 1 to 4? there are three 1 and one 2 instead.
Your problem has nothing to do with selectors at all. "count" is a member variable. That means every object has its own "count" member. You have four breakpoints, and each time _one_ of the several "count" members is increased, but not always the same one. If you add the "count" members of all objects, their sum will be four.

yea but i dont want to wait another 3 weeks for that deal to come besides i dont need an ipod.
Yeah if I wasn't on a tight budget i'd buy mine already, but even though i'm not going to use the iPod, paying taxes (~$33) for it in Canada and reselling it for just under Apple's price you'll end up getting the iMac for near $300 cheaper including the student discount.

what the heck happened?
evreything was great until something happened. isnt that always what happens.
anyone know how to fix this? all my applications icons have decided it would be a good idea for a vacation, and when i open an app the app opens but so does script editor and gives me the script library for the app.

anyone?
Are you? Or are you just curious about whether or not they exist?
I played with a Friend's 2009 13" MBP with Lion on it, and didn't notice any heat issues.

Hey vollspacken,
If you're a student, have you checked out Apple's educational discounts? I think they were selling the 667 and 800 Mhz models for about $1,900 and $2,400, respectively. I paid about $2,600 back in January for a 550 Mhz. :(

Thought I'd share my little story, although it's not much of a story. My older brother has had a mac for about 5 years, starting with his freshman year in college and one of the original imacs. He now has a new imac and a 12" powerbook. I've always had windows machines, and i'll probably continue to have one as my main desktop computer, but I am realllly excited about my updated 15.2" powerbook comin.
I wanted to get a laptop to work in the library with, and on flights home from school and back, and after messing around with his 12" I was sold. This site kept me from buying prematurely, and now i'll be getting my 15.2" with backlit, 80gb 4200rpm, 1.25ghz etc. I love my current desktop setup, as I have a falcon northwest machv and dual 20" dell flat screens, so unless i end up marrying osx i probably won't switch my desktop, but panther looks awesome. Expose alone could do it. Oh, and i'm pretty pumped about being able to play warcraft 3 on it as well.
I've had the ipod for windows 5gb since it came out too, and I love it. No need to get the new one, as I like the actual push buttons better than the touchpad (can't control the touchpad through the fabric of my pants like i can the old ipod). It'll probably be so much easier using my ipod with itunes too, won't have to worry about the retarded windows support for it anymore. Oh, and musicmatch is the devil. When I saw that was the software for it, i didn't even install it, just searched for some 3rd party. Ended up using ephpod, which is pretty good, but not great.
Can anyone recommend a good scroll wheel mouse for the powerbook? I could probably live without 2 buttons, but I don't think I can tolerate no scroll wheel.
Also, since i'm just sticking with the initial 512 in the PB at first and opting for 3rd party ram, where do you guys and gals recommend buying from? I've always bought from crucial for my pc, as they have high quality ram for pretty good prices. I'll probably sell one of the 256mb sticks and buy a gig stick.
Thanks to all the posters here, there's been so much info posted that has helped me make my foray into macland.
