Sad news, indeed.
Joshua 1:9 -- "For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Or, Josuha 1:9 as translated by Levinas: "I will not abandon you nor will I let you escape."

The M0116 should have the same tactile feedback as the original Apple Extended Keyboard (released in '87 with the SE and II), although be careful here, as the Extended Keyboard II was released in 1990, and those keys are a little softer (and quieter).
And I'm with you - I consider the late 80s Apple keyboards to have the best feel, although they are a little loud by today's standards.

If I may ask, how'd u manage in retail box new? They're gonna send me a new one this time but it won't be in a retail box. Good luck.
I called Applecare. Asked for a senior adviser, and complained about my bad luck of refurbs, ect ect.... Emailed her pictures of my current yellow phone.
Note: I do not have Applecare nor did I pay for the 29$ for advanced replacement. They did, however, put a hold for 500$ on my card.
I see, well good luck again with the new one.

Yes I don't see how folks use laptops.
I hate the high octane noise and heat. The tiny screen. The fact that the keyboard is built-in and a spill could ruin the entire machine. And the fact you pay more for your power in a laptop form factor. Reliability of laptops is also much worse than desktops afaik.
I almost got a 13" MBP yesterday until the little guy over my shoulder started repeating this stuff over and over.

TimeMachine is great, but I don't rely on it as my only backup either. I have one 1 TB drive partitioned into two partitions: one is slightly larger than my internal drive, and the other partition is the rest of the TB. I use CCC to clone my internal drive to the 1st partition nightly and TimeMachine backs up to the other partition. This way, if my internal HDD dies, I can boot right off the external and keep going. I use DropBox to back up all my super necessary files as well (I'm up to 5.8 GB without paying).
And, no, I don't consider my two partitions separate backups because they're on the same physical drive. But, still, it seems an effective solution to me. Even if a fire burns down my residence I still have all my important (small) files on DropBox.

Sooo... Can you do this over 3g, or just wifi?
You must be connected to a WiFi network to DOWNLOAD the shows.
Not sure if you have to be "connected" to anything once the shows are downloaded.

As ALAC is a lossless format you are fine to convert to AAC straight from them.
If you already have all the lossless files in itunes just switch your import settings to be 320-AAC , then select all the files you want to convert and select "Create AAC Version" from the Advanced menu.
As for having a whole separate library it is probably easier to simply sort by kind and stick all the AACs in a new playlist, then you can manage your music manually on your iphone.

This past week, my 2006 MacBook has been randomly shutting down. At first, it wouldn't even start up, but now it will periodically turn off while I am in the middle of something important. Before I take it to the Geniuses, I am going to do a clean install of Snow Leopard to see if that solves the problem. Any tips for preserving iLife, my files, and the iWork suite so I can move them back to my MacBook when the reinstall is done?
Thanks. :D
Thanks. :D

2gb Memory Stick Duo- 45
2gb SD- 13
Could do, or you could compare like for like products. Compare a hi-speed SD card which really is needed for video etc to a high end gaming MS Duo.
I get 28.99 for the 2GB Sandisk Gaming MS Duo (http://play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/269/349/-/880408/SanDisk_Gaming_Memory_Stick_PRO_Duo_2GB/Product.html?searchtype=genre). SDs are cheaper for sure - I can't find a 2GB hi-speed SD one, but whether it's 13 or more (I'm guessing they level out at around 17.99) it's not the difference you portray it to be.

Hello,
Is it possible to browse through the file system on the iPad2? Is there a home directory where I can organize my documents, music, videos, etc? I like to be able to create new folders.
I am not talking about doing this through iTunes, as sometime I am always on the go and would like to create a directory based on my clients. I am just wondering is it possible to create and delete folders, and browse thought them on the iPad?
Many thanks for any suggestions,

Hi
I would like to add an external SATA caddy to my MacPro but cannot find the SATA cabling. Is there easy access to the cables? Shall I just use a Firewire Caddy instead.
thanks

I have a 320GB hard drive in my MBP and somehow I only have about ~20GB of storage left. I only have like 100 songs on here. No DVDs, bluray rips, tv shows or anything like that. I do produce videos for youtube but they generally only go up to 1GB in size, no way they'd crunch through 320GB of memory that fast.
Is there any way I can see how much memory my programs and files are taking up on my hard drive so I can clean it up?
