why is this a thread
Because how else could the OP possibly spew out some backhanded insult that was poorly disguised as a revelation about the popularity of the iPhone?

Anyone else going to the Clarendon Apple Store?
I'm pretty sure I'll be heading there, but I'm also considering going to Tysons Corner. Any guesses on which store will have a shorter line?

I am having trouble activating 3G in my used (craigslist 32gig 3G) iPad with used Sim. How do I get AT&T to reset this so I can activate 3G service in my name?

Like others have said, I would suggest the iMac as well. If you already have a monitor then you can use it a second monitor with the iMac and have more screen real estate.

you should copyright the photo and sue the company immediately if they try to steal it.
no really just send the a picture of you holding the printed picture in dark light, then edit the picture to a very low resolution

The celeb was Lindsay Lohan. She dropped it when she crashed her mercedes. That means that there must be at least 1,2,3,4....well too many to count out there, if you know what I mean ;)

There is no such thing as know it all.
Don't worry about that.
Focus on what you really want to work on.
Dont let other decide that for you.
Aim on the right field that you want to develop.
Work on something that you really enjoy and it will keep you motivated.
So if Windows is no longer fun...stay away.

Even on Mac osx?
Yes. Refer to the post below.
First you need to download and install the CUDA Drivers from nVidia http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_get.html
You should already be running the latest version of BOINC.
Once you have done these things, you, in theory are ready to start using your GPU in OSX BOINC to crunch stuff.....
Why isn't it crunching?
Because no apps inside of BOINC (Seti@home, Aqua@home, etc etc etc) have been re-written to take advantage of CUDA on the mac.
It seems Einstein@home is getting close, but for the moment (As of Feb 6th, 2010) nothing in the OSX BOINC world supports CUDA, or OpenCL. Not to be a downer, but don't expect that to change anytime soon. There just aren't enough volunteers with programming knowledge (or programmers that own the proper hardware to test their knowlege) in this area to make it happen quickly.
Please refer to this post. Only a few number of projects can use CUDA on a mac, Collatz Conjecture is one of them that is available right now

Hello everyone! What am I doing wrong? Starting to get frustrated here... :(
Running OS X Server 10.6.6
Works as expected when logged in as the user...
osxserver:~ jim$ ls /Groups/testgroup/
I get a "permission denied", however, when running via sudo -u
osxserver:~ jimsboss$ sudo -u jim /bin/ls '/Groups/testgroup'
I thought about adding "root" to "testgroup", but cannot find a way to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Jeremy

I'll take one for free.
They're even uglier in person. I can't justify spending 39 bucks for the cheapest styles. Apple must think that a majority of their buyers are teenage girls or something. God awful colors.

Just a small thought here.
I was checking what the buyer's guide said for various models, (with WWDC just around the corner and intel new chips for laptops/desktops too), and it seems to ignore March's update to the 30" ACD. Last update was getting towards a year ago.
Perhaps others don't agree with me, but perhaps something needs to be added top the special notes as a minimum. I think they will update the ACDs as a whole fairly soon, but to suggest it has been almost a year since any form of upgrade is a little misleading perhaps.

A link to what? A summary of Climategate? I'll let you flex your google-muscles on that one.

First result on google.
Well, look at that, overwhelming consensus that there was little to worry about in the leak except for some transparency issues, and that the science behind it is still as strong as ever.

Do you mean Super Video CD? I believe that Toast can make them.
That's a fact. I used toast (version 5 at the time) to make SVCDs on my old iMac G3 and it works fine. Toast can use most quicktime supported movie formats.
You can put approx. half an hour of motion pictures on a CD-R

It seems that you're trying to save the video to the media browser. If so, you get to choose which sizes you want by checking the corresponding boxes after you choose Share->Media Browser.
If you don't want a certain size, go to the very bottom of the Share menu, Share->Remove From->Media Browser.
It shouldn't be rendering all sizes automatically...

He probably became rich because he doesn't spend on clothes and expensive backpacks. I am digging the green bag.

Went into an apple store and asked a guy working there if he knew anything about G4 ibooks coming out. His response was a VERY official "No. We don't know anything about that. I can't tell you anything about that."
When I pressed a little further, he basically said, "I can tell you I don't know anything or I can lose my job. What would you do?"
Sounds like something's coming soon to me. This RAM sale definitely makes it look probable as well. I'm dying to buy an ibook, but have heard the G3s aren't so good with OS X. That, plus an upgrade seemingly soon - I'm waiting. Hurry up, Apple.
