I've been developing iPad games on an old Mac Mini. After a memory upgrade normal development runs well apart from the fact that the iPad simulator runs extremely slowly on the setup. 5-10fps compared to 50-60fps on the device itself.
Has anybody any experience with running the iPad simulator on an MBA? Is it as fast as the device?

Got that part, but what does it mean? Does the genius take a sharpie and write 5k across the screen or something
It's the serial number. Go into your settings, click about, scroll down to serial number and see what your first 2 numbers are.

I made a couple of requests over the past couple of days to delete songs that I submitted to this data base. Those songs had zero recommendations and I no longer cared for the song. So far those delete requests seem to have been ignored.
When DailyTunes first came online I asked whether we could get songs deleted and I was given a rather non-commital answer. I suppose that I now have my answer and it appears to be no.
When it comes to data such as personal song recommendations, I feel that the user should have some say in how that data is used, especially when one's name/handle is associated with it. People change their tastes over time and I should be able to remove items that I no longer recommend. Instead, as with so many data bases in this day and age, that data seems to have become the "property" of someone else.

Viewers actually started to side with Windows because of his lovable underdog persona. Attacking your competitor is a double-edge sword.
That's why record sales of Macs continued unabated, right?

is that a supported configuration? head over to avid.com and check the compatibility charts.
there are also troubleshooting guides on the DUC.

The no to AV was a negative campaign!
Perfectly demonstrated by this advert below your post!
Besides, the BNP thinks that AV will be bad for them. As good an advert for if I ever saw one.

I started off web design back when I was in grade 5 (in 1996). Back when Netscape was dominant and had a built in web editor. My motivation back then was to create a site about video games (Info, Screens, Cheats, etc), ever since I got hooked up :p
I'm 19, and I still haven't actually made any money from my web design work, so it's basically just a hobby. The problem with me is that I get a lot of those "designer's block" every now and then (I'm in one right now, and it drives me insane! ) The only way to get rid of it is "time"...

I have a 3GS currently and if I upgraded to the 4, the is one feature that I will hate myself for not waiting would probably be a better camera (or maybe just a faster phone in general to be honest)

New Song of the Day.
Today's is a personal fav of mine... but in the future, it will be generated at random from the pool of songs with < 5 recommendations and hasn't been featured before.
Should get people talking about songs more and generate interest.

According to google translate, that video's title is Bass DJ. Under description, it says "Car Audio song". The only tag on the video is "Gentleman".

I personally moved from the 13"MBA to the 13"MBP because of that issue.
My eyes aren't too bad and I didn't get any headaches, but still, reading on the higher res was not too comfortable for me. I zoomed in pretty often in safari and numbers.
The extra space was very nice though...
In any case it seems to me that an higher pixel density will make your problem worse.
This is precisely what I am afraid of. Why might a higher resolution, i.e., a screen with more detail, sharper images, sharper texts, make it harder or more of a strain to see/read? Is it only because the texts are smaller?

iphone 3G on 4.1? ouch. I suggest downgrading to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. These firmwares are a lot faster on your phone and you dont really get much on 4.0/.1. If you do end up restoring to solve this problem, i suggest downgrading.
What tool did you use to jailbreak? Is there anything installed from cydia that could affect this? like batterypercentage?

Anyone else going? Still deciding between the Northbrook Court Apple Store and a nearby ATT store.

1. No-one has been able to suggest to me a way to eliminate the break which iTunes playback inserts between tracks on a DJ mix CD. Like an uninvited guest, it just happens. Crossfading is a silly gimmick with no real use and certainly doesn't address the problem. Choosing a time between tracks of 'zero' doesn't fix the problem either. If you can't burn the mixed CD as ONE track then you are out of luck.
2. My iMac pauses occasionally, during playback - sound stops, as if taking a breath, the harddrive does something or other (?), then playback resumes. Asking the harddrive to NEVER shut down (in performance settings) does not correct the problem. Extremely annoying!
3. Loss of function in iTunes vs the older Apple CD player: you can't 'rewind' thru a track and continue rewinding into the previous track. You can only rewind within the track you are playing and then must click on the previous track to rewind thru it. Annoying if what you are doing is studying how, on a mix CD, the artist skilfully blended track A into track B.
Please fix these problems, guys!

SSD is short for "Solid State Disk", HDD (or often only abbreviated "HD") is short for "Hard Disk Drive" ("Hard Disk"), thus "SSD HD" is kinda redundant.
Btw, all 2010 MBAs have SSDs, no HDDs and no option for buying it with an HDD. Or are you talking about an older MBA?
I have an SSD and always leave 10 to 20 % of its capacity free, for the OS to swap and have enough space for other temporary data.

An Airport reliability fix for Intel iMacs would be nice. Too many threads on that one here. Goodness knows what Apple Discussions is like.

Quite a conundrum there. So it turns on alright and such but doesn't respond to the USB ports is all? Do you have another Mac around?

Have gone through several weeks of Outlook 2007 reporting that the PST file is damaged, for no apparent reason. Have tried letting Outlook PST Repair (http://www.repair-outlook-pst-file.com) itself with no success and also leaving Outlook open so that the program shuts down in a more controlled manner with Vista SP1 on closing down the PC for that session, again with no success. Running SCANPST has provided patchy success (50/50) and slows things down whilst running. What seems to have worked is setting Outlook to Send/Recieve on Exit (via 'Tools', 'Options', 'Mail Setup', 'Send/Receive', tick 'Perform an automatic send/receive when exiting').

Which of the new 2011 iMacs have hyperthreading and/or turboboost? Or do they all have both this time around?
