If you're putting you music in itunes you may as well put your vids in there.
I'd personally keep them in folders and get Plex.

It's both good and bad news.
MacOSForge looks thrown together at the last minute and it is. For a long time the place for open source projects was opendarwin.org but the guys that run that were increasingly frustrated at Apple not participating with the open source community.
A month or so back, they announced they were pulling opendarwin.org. The major project on opendarwin.org that had to find a new home of course was Apple's own Webkit.
If Apple had got behind opendarwin.org earlier, the need for macosforge wouldn't be there.
See http://ranger.befunk.com/blog/archives/000697.html for a less than glowing view of the situation from one of the Fink project guys.
It's very good news they've released more source and under a more liberal licence too. The collaboration server is particularly of interest to 3rd parties as we can now start up our own .Mac style services. It'll be interesting to see what Apple does with .Mac now that anyone can set up iCal sharing servers.
The other project to note on macosforge is that there's mention of a project called 'Apple Teams' which I guess could be their wiki software but may be something more entirely. The CalDAV open source project is compatible with it so obviously it links in with some kind of event sharing.
Watching the source commits to macosforge might be an indication of the release date of Leopard.

I don't understand the need for the security.
Well if any application could send anything to any other applications your asking for viruses crashing and all sorts of issues. You need to have them sandboxed to some extend and have meditation for what can communicate. To get around this you use the network but the address 127.0.0.1.

Ditto I also check but they only have the previous generations. Seems like they will have iLuv cases, though.
BB does though.

Definitely not China if you're going for the 3G model, since it requires extra approval from multiple government agencies, and the first generation of iPad WiFi+3G hasn't made it to the market so far...

I plan on using my Ipad predominately w/ wifi. I bought the 3g version for when I travel or want a more secure connection. I keep getting an annoying pop-up that says "you haven't signed up for your account"..meaning Verizon 3g acct. and you can click "now" or "later". I got tired of hitting "later" and decided to sign up and be done with it. I'll sign up for the cheapest plan ($20.00/month). My question is: If I jump thru the hoops and sign up now, will I be charged $20./month from the time of set up forward-even if I don't use 3g or can I just sign up and Verizon won't charge me until I actually use their service?
Thanks in advance.

Blu-Ray + MPEG2 HD, looks like vomit!!! ;)
<]=)
Exactly! I'm hoping that a CRT HDTV will help mask the problems. But I think for obvious MPEG artifacts it's Sky HD who takes the biscuit.

Is there a simple shortcut or macro in Apple Mail to simplify the HTML tag for linking to a different web page? In other words, instead of clicking on:
http://www.macrumors.com
...I could hide it under "Click HERE" and the HERE would underline and light-up when you hovered over it? If there's not, that would be a good thing to add to Mail in the future.
(Sorry, but I'm just learning HTML...)
This feature won't appear until Mail supports composing HTML emails. It doesn't look like Mail in Tiger (http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/mail.html) will have this feature.

Key West is basically a tourist trap. It's, by far, my least favorite key because of all the drunks and trash (looks a lot like Bourbon St. [aka sespool] at least before Katrina). The drive down is unbelievable though.
My Aunt and Uncle have a beach house on a canal on Key Largo so I'm partial to that one.
But the prettiest is Dry Tortugas (the actual western most US island in the Gulf). It takes a 3 hour boat ride from Key West but it's gorgeous. The snorkeling is amazing. I spent 7 hours snorkeling the reef around the island and got the worst sunburn of my life.
I'm sure it is a tourist trap but a person isn't forced to participate in that. I managed to keep well away from drunks and trash by not going out partying at night and walking into scenes that don't appeal.
I didn't know a lot about the keys when I booked the trip so we did go to the more touristy places. One day we want to go back and get a closer look at the more "'undiscovered" locations. Dry Tortugas sounds amazing!

I use Toast Titanium to burn to Apple TV format and then sync. It will even add to itunes for you.
AirVideo is another great solution but you can't use on airplanes since you won't be able to access your network and even if you could(say with GoGo) the video quality would be terrible.

Well, I'm still learning this so I might wind up taking the easy way and copy the code.
From what I can see, Categories might not work out since it's restrictive.

I post the same think, in spanish forums, but spanish people don't like apple in command key :mad::mad: why??
I think the apple icon on the keyboard is a hallmark.
I was born with that key (apple comand) and now when I see it is not feel like I'm missing something
I'm from spain barcelona but I do not feel identified with the Spanish mac users :(
