Just updated listing to reflect that I will possibly accept trades for a nice G4 Dual 1.2GHz or higher plus cash.

If ANYONE falls for that, they deserve what they get. The grammar in that email makes me sick.

The power4 will be a single chip - what you will get though is probably multiple CPU cores on one chip - so a quad, octo or 16 CPU core chip could be possible - to hell with 10x speed for me, I'll be looking forward to 50x - 100x!
But all this is somewhat speculation - based on some real data - the Power4 we see talked about in October might be a little different then what we expect. I've seen anything from 1 GHz to 3+GHz - single to 16 processor cores, so there is potential for some truly amazing times ahead.

Agreed. Google maps does the same thing, but not restricted to restaurants. Just go to your location, then search for something. Food, car repair, whatever. It'll pop up stuff in your area. I guess maybe you want to know about another area then go to that area of the map or enter a zip code with your search, or a city name, etc. NEVER had a need to draw a region. Kind of limiting anyway.
Sketch-a-Search is brilliant, but what would be better is a way to tag why you selected a place or why you didn't go to another.I suspect Yahoo will have to go deeper in value as while there is some value here it can be replicated in minutes by the under-employed programers in Silicon Valley.

I wanted to buy online but, even tho the page says it does, after you begin the process of "reserving" a 3GS, you are only given an option to pick up at a local Apple store...

An Apple Airport Express should do what you want. It comes with setup instructions for both Mac and Windows and has a connection port for a printer. If you want to save few $$ it is listed in the Apple Store 'SAVE' section (refurbished with same warranty as new) for $99 right now.

I plan on using my Ipad predominately w/ wifi. I bought the 3g version for when I travel or want a more secure connection. I keep getting an annoying pop-up that says "you haven't signed up for your account"..meaning Verizon 3g acct. and you can click "now" or "later". I got tired of hitting "later" and decided to sign up and be done with it. I'll sign up for the cheapest plan ($20.00/month). My question is: If I jump thru the hoops and sign up now, will I be charged $20./month from the time of set up forward-even if I don't use 3g or can I just sign up and Verizon won't charge me until I actually use their service?
Thanks in advance.

I would go with a Mac after Leopard comes out. PS3 is fun but computer much more versatile.

Does anyone have any ideas how long it will be before the new 2011 MacBook Pros will be available in the Refurbished Mac section of the Apple online store? I would like to wait for a refurb but if it's going to be another 6 months I'd rather go ahead and buy a new one.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Is this possible? I understand that I can take Garage Band tracks and import to Logic Pro 9, but I want to go the other direction, i.e., I would like to use Garage Band on an iPad2 (not yet purchased) as the vehicle for playing backing tracks (for live performance) that I have built in Logic Pro.
I think this about software, but just in case, I am running Logic Pro 9 and the latest Garage Band update to the latest Mac OS. The hardware is the latest iMac, 8g of Ram. I am using Presonus Firestudio for the A/D inputs to Logic Pro.
Thanks,
hank

I only sort my albums by artist and release date (CD collection and on iTunes), if I started sorting all the genres I think I'd go mad. It's bad enough as it is.

These bags from waterfield designs are really nice. Snug fitting, with good protection. and a nice sleeve on the outside for papers/mouspad etc. I use it in conjunction with a Timbuk2 Messenger bag.
Also their customer service is second to none. really really nice people, I recieved an automated response to my order, followed quickly by a response from a real person, then subsequent communications once i had recieved the bag, asking how it was, and if I needed anything else.
really nice people and a fair price for how sturdy these are.

you can upgrade, but youll lose your jailbreak and some traces of it will remain. if you sent it in for repair youll be rejected. its best to restore to a current version if youre jailbroken.

Sounds like this
"tell me you're sorry / tell them you're my hero"
something along that line , either one of them iirc.
Ok. artist sounds coldplay-ish. Song is sang while playing a guitar. Song is in 6 beats.
Music is at moderate pace or even slow, volume quite soft
