Not worth the paper it's written on.
I wouldn't even use it to wipe my butt.

Bring up the inspector (alt CMD I), go to the first tab and uncheck "Hyphenate" at the bottom.

I've always wondered why Apple doesn't use cdkeys for their OS. Not that I'm complaining, just curious is all.
It's reasonably difficult to install the OS on a non-Apple computer. So it's sort of a marketing strategy that keeps you roped in. And if you get a pirated/shared version of the OS that doesn't work on your old hardware, you're tendency is to go buy the new machine when the new software won't work with the old one.

Hey Everyone,
This is my first post, wanted to get some help on a problem with my Casecrown Black Metallic Slider case. The case is great don't get me wrong, but the damn thing is stuck! I am using a Zagg Invisible Shield on the front and back (I probably should have taken off the back one before putting the case on, correct?). Any solutions getting the case removed?
Also, is it worth keeping this case if its going to get stuck everytime? Any recommendation? Thanks to all in advance who decide to help a first timer out.

This I am not sure ... Why would somebody needs to be in front of a laptop if JB is tethered? It just means you need to hook back up and JB all over again if you reboot ipad..... Please do correct me if this is my misunderstanding as I have never JB tethered version either.
Having owened ipad 2 for past 16 days or so, I never need to reboot.
Yes, tethered means connected.. a tethered jailbreak means that each and every time you power down your iPad, or should it freeze or whatever and you need to power it down, you need to be near a laptop/desktop in order to get your jailbroken iPad back online, or it will just hang at the apple logo...
untethered means it works without the need to reconnect every time you reboot...
untethered is better.. :D

doesnt matter , im on a tight budget and i dont have another 240 dollars to pay along with the a $1700 i have to pay for my imac.
I'm not trying to argue with you, i'm sure in every thread you see on Macrumors they will say if you need it now, buy it now. I've been waiting about 6 months for this update and another 3 weeks is nothing as my setup works fine.
The LOGICAL thing to do if you've got a setup that works is to wait for the iPod and sell it, if you want to save money. I also don't have the extra money for the iPod, just happened to know someone looking to buy one of them and they were willing to wait to get it for ~25% off.

Not sure of the 'easiest way' but I've done a few panoramas.
Basically you put your camera on a tripod (ideally with a special head that mounts the camera and lens about it's nodal point - but not essential if you are not too worried about quality) in the middle of your room. You then shoot a series of overlapping shots around the horizontal. You then 'stitch' these together in some software (I use PT Gui (http://www.ptgui.com/) but it's fairly complicated) then export from that a flat jpg that I then bring into another bit of software (PanO2VR (http://gardengnomesoftware.com/pano2vr.php)) to create either a QuickTimeVR or a Flash file that can be then inserted into a web site.
Certainly not easy but can produce some fantastic results!
You can find some useful info on this forum (http://www.panoguide.com/forums/).

I think the record was about 9,500 or so back in September. It will surely break 10,000 this time though and I would hope it doesn't go down, however it's inevitable it'll be slow.
It was upgraded recently too, I think to two or three dedicated servers.
Edit: Most users ever online was 9,519, 09-06-2007 at 03:40 AM.
As I link directly to the forum spy, I didn't notice the forum information that you have posted above, thanks for pointing this out.

so everybody can buy an imac, try it and return it used after 14 days and apple doesnt care? that doesnt make much sense
Everyone can, but not everyone does. I didn't, for one...!
It makes perfect sense. Many vendors have 'NQA' return periods. It demonstrates a confidence in the product, and encourages those buyers 'on the fence' to give it a try.

Yes, use Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) at the very least to clean out your system. Make sure to run an update before scanning, and to have Ad-aware run another scan at startup. Spybot will get rid of whatever, if anything, is left.
In the future, if your brother absolutely has to have Kazaa, Kazaa Lite Resurrection (I'm not linking to it, look for it on Google) is an adware-free and spyware-free "hacked" version and includes a few utilities that make Kazaa suck a lot less. But IMO there are enough alternatives to make Kazaa look like an obsolete dinosaur overrun by the likes of the RIAA and MPAA, something to avoid regardless of its ability to screw up your computer.

When you slam the lid down, does your computer go to sleep or it still runs? It happened to me on Preview 1 that the entire machine was still running even when the lid is closed. I got tired of having to shut down my computer all the time and decided to go back to Snow Leopard, because I'm consistently mobile.
I just downloaded Preview 2 from MAS, but still unsure if I should install it since this is the biggest issue I ran into. Somebody please confirm.
