Is this available for wifi only or will it be available via 3G as well?
Wifi only but with "Unrestrictor" (jailbroken) works well as tested:D

Crackdown, along with Saints Row seem like petrol station breaks before the destination.
But have you played crackdown or simpy pre-judging it on what you 'think' it plays like rather than actual experience ?
Remember Crackdown is by the same guy who came up with GTA.
But both should not be compared - but.... as Edge™ put it. CrackDown is where 'freeroaming' should have begun. It's all about the self exploration and free will to do anything and rewarded for doing so - than ANY gta game has done.
Crackdown is more 'fun' than GTA. You are not limited by do missions A, B, C, D, E, F before you can get to next area. It's far more 'free' that GTA has ever been.

I understand the need for separation on a system wide basis but not between processes being controlled by the same app.

Vocals could've been a great way to distinguish this from the Tap Tap Revenge style games. That said, I'm surprised that Tap Tap hasn't already included a true vocal mode.

You will likely be able to get it on a Thumb Drive, use an External Drive, or use Remote Install to install it via another computer with an optical drive.

I would go with the PowerBook, Virtual PC, and a good external HD so that you have plenty of space to work with....dont underestimate the PB it is an amazing machine

Just got the B&W P5 Headphones last week. Comfortable on ear and they sound great. They isolate sound very well (tested in a noisy apple store).

Who will be going to the Manhattan store? and what time? I will be there at 5:00am Who's gonna join me?
I was thinking east bank -- however, I'm willing to venture to "the other side" if I can find the AT&T store with the least traffic/least wait. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Hello,
I was wondering if it would be possible to get a sticky with the title along the lines of "Buy now or wait" ?
Once opened, the sticky could have the overused words "If you need it, buy it, if you don't, wait" as well as a link to the MacRumors buyer's guide. More specific information could also be added depending on the forum location. (Such as MacBook Pro)
This question gets asked daily, and I feel it might help users before asking.
Thank you.

At the moment im just using the iMac G4 as a print server and music player in the kitchen (1GHz, 1GB, USB2, 802.11G) however im toying with the idea of turning it into a backup server and was wondering if anyone had any insight into the best way to go about it?
At the minute i have my main computer (an intel imac) in my bedroom with a number of external drives for storage which backs up to a Drobo using Time Machine. The problem i have is that the Drobo is way too loud for the room.
My first idea is to put the Drobo in the kitchen attached to the iMac G4 and backup over the wifi (as my Airport Extreme is in living room) my main issue with it is this and a full backup is around 2.5TB which would take over a month
is anyone out there using such an old computer for this sort of thing? and do you have any tips? Money is also an issue at the moment so i cant go out and buy something quieter! :o Any help appreciated
I think you answered your own question on this one. You either have to deal with the noise, deal with the slow transfers over wireless or put in a wired network. The wired network is not that expensive if you do it yourself. The most expensive part is the router.
I personally recommend not doing this sort of thing (everyone thinks a server is cool but most have no idea how to use them) but if you really want to do this you need a wired network.
Cheers

Hey,
I have decided I like the iphone 4 much better without a case.
For anyone that does not use a case, how is your iphone holding up? Any noticeable scratches or dents?? Is it easy to dent and scratch the iphone 4?
Thanks

Didn't work :( I'll call PS tomorrow to see about a replacement. I have the second one I can install, but I think I should get a free replacement for the one that appears to be defective.

This book is a great way to learn about the most common UI controls and it will give you a good idea on how to use them.
However, you WILL want a more in-depth book after using this one to learn about MVC.

haha Mr ezekielrage_99, real funny, you are a TWIT, i wasnt asking for free design, ive done my 10 years plus pal, i was just simply asking for maybe a direction with technique as its something i would like to master, basically i tried a few tutorials, but nothing was cutting, i needed something special, thats why i asked the forum, because i would expect to find descent helpful designers trying help out a fellow designer, thats what design is all about, sharing your knowledge, not being a tight arse like yourself.
Thank for that I thought insulting members was against forum rules...

SO, let's try a couple of things first:
1) Insert disc 1, and power the laptop down.
2)With the laptop turned off, hold down the C key on the keyboard, and while holding the key down, press the power button. Continue holding the C key down until you see the grey Apple logo in the middle of the screen. This is booting from the CD. You should get to a menu, and from the top menu bar, it should say 'Utilities' (depending on version of OS). Select Disk Utility. Select the HD, and erase.
Unsure of all what happened previously, but wiping the drive and starting from new may help.
After erase is complete, power down laptop. Make sure disc 1 is still in drive. This time, hold down the C key, power the laptop up. Follow the prompts to installing the OS. Hopefully, this will work. Let me know. If this doesn't take care of issue, it may point to another issue, possibly hard drive. Not uncommon, not a major install, just more of a time consuming install. Can get them relatively cheap from all over. I prefer MicroCenter because of their volume prices. I have an earlier model of iBook, the Clamshell G3 366. I also had an iBook G4 1.2 Ghz, both required a hard drive within months of me owning them. Replaced hard drives, and they are still running to this day.
Sorry you haven't gotten many responses on here. Older items dont garner as much attention, but this is still a great place to get information.

I don't understand the need for the security.
Well if any application could send anything to any other applications your asking for viruses crashing and all sorts of issues. You need to have them sandboxed to some extend and have meditation for what can communicate. To get around this you use the network but the address 127.0.0.1.

From what I feel these things ARE durable, the build quality is very good - impressive, if not the best, for a mp3-player this size. The screen feels also good. Haven't dropped it yet but a smaller screen can hold better againts shock than a 3.5" one.
