May have added Applecare? I know students get a pretty heavy discount on it.

Also waiting for the free iPod deal too.. using it as a little subsidy cause as a student quite a tight budget, going for the base 27, selling the iPod, should be able to net it for ~1600 after tax :)

No, no Applecare, just 27" 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 2TB Serial ATA Drive, everything else is default. Speaking of iPods, what kind are we going to get?

i just happened to get 2 of them. i had one preordered and i have a friend that got me one at launch. i saw what they have been going for and i figured might as well and sell or trade one of them. just happened to be in the right place at the right time so i'm going to take advantage of it.That doesn't make your markup right in any way. It just helps you sleep at night.

If you need to upgrade spend the $29. Don't steal software. Or, just wait till Lion and get a family pack. Apple isn't going to sue you over $29. But seriously, is there difference in Leopard vs snow Leopard that you feel justified in cheating them over $29?

There is that ugly alumi case with the window I keep seeing at CompUSA. It's just right for adding lighted fans and lighted slots and lighted, well, lights.

I think its OK to hope for things you want to happen that are beyond your control.

If you hope some things to happen that you have the potential to alter the outcome of yourself (vs. doing something about it), you will often get disappointed and some ppl even "blame others" (even "god") when their hopes are squashed. This is the mentality of a "loser". It's one thing to lose when you've given it a shot, but if you've lost without even trying and just "hoping" it works your way, you are a loser from the start.

It's like "praying" to win the lottery. If you want to be rich, go out and start a business and give it a shot rather then spend the time praying to become rich and "hoping" your god makes you the chosen one.

You're installing the wrong version. Try "MyWi." It's $20. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Agreed. My brother was having all kinds of troubles trying to get a cracked version of mywi, so i decided to go ahead and buy it. It is well worth it.

Thanks for this. I finished downloading the 4.0.2 update from the App Store and launched Xcode and it still claimed to be running version 4.0. Didn't know what was going on there!

Hmm.. same here, downloaded from the App Store, installed, checked the "About Xcode" --> XCode Version 4.0 Build 4A304a

Anyone have the same issue?

I apologize for double posting but I did not know that this section existed.

I just setup my Mac Mini to stream all of my digital music to my HT setup.

I quickly noticed that it appears that the Mac Mini is up sampling everything to 24-bit 96kHz. Is there a way to keep the audio bit-perfect and stream my 24/96kHz music at it sampling and then stream my 16/44.1kHz at its original sampling rate.

I was hoping to A/B some various sampling rates, but if I cannot stream a perfect bit stream of the original sampling, then it obviously will not work.

Any thoughts or work arounds that I am missing?

Hey guys,
I hope I can get a better reply to this post. I have been getting these error messages from the SMB Name Server logfile, and wanted to know how I can get rid of them. It seems like two ip addresses (which are now dead) are still in the SMB Config file's gutter. Would like to clear that up. Here are the log messages:

I have 32GB of RAM in my Mac Pro and I got the RAM from Superbiiz, it was a steal compared to OWC and Apple's prices. It looks like they have the RAM for $137 (http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=D3-13R8GH1&title=Hynix-DDR3-1333-8GB-ECC-REG-Original-Server-Memory) per 8GB stick, so that'd be just shy of $1100 plus tax and shipping.

Especially when you benefit from the results. I am a cancer survivor and have been folding now for just over a year. I discovered F@H when I was home recuperating from having my Gallbladder removed, I've been telling everyone I know about it and now have the opportunity to really do some crunching! I am in commercial printing and Graphic Design and have had 3 G3's doing Folding for a year 24/7 We got a new (cough) DELL for a PC workstation several months ago, and I got it started folding. The new owner just bought a new G5 X-serve with dual 2.3 Hz CPUs and 4gb of RAM and I just got that started this week:eek:
WOW I saw it go through 4 GROMACs on the first day, and now I have shot up to #139 on the team list!!:cool:

You're right this is really the best thing going, and it's even better when it's doing good:D
