I have an old imac G3 and I also use a Toshba laptop running windows XP. I plan to upgrade the mac for an imac G5. What is the best way to connect them both wireless to a printer and the net.

I have been getting an update reminder for the latest version of Adobe Reader. I haven't come across many, hardly any, reviews and wanted to come here and ask you all if you suggest something else of equal value to download instead of the newest Adobe REader...I believe it's 10.0 and I currently have 9.4.3

The hyper-threading that the i7 has isn't going to do you any good unless you do calculations, processing (photos and the like) or 3d rendering and not just small bits here and there, but lots of it - big batches of the stuff.

I was wondering if it would be possible to get a sticky with the title along the lines of "Buy now or wait" ?
Once opened, the sticky could have the overused words "If you need it, buy it, if you don't, wait" as well as a link to the MacRumors buyer's guide. More specific information could also be added depending on the forum location. (Such as MacBook Pro)
This question gets asked daily, and I feel it might help users before asking.

This reminds me of the old-school rumors sites that used to have pages devoted to the latest rumors about various Apple products. Like they'd have a Power Mac page, and it would have the most accurate known spects and codename of the Power Mac, and stuff. That was sweet.

I jailbroke my iPod Touch 4g running 4.3.1 and then had some issues and restored it. I already had the 4.3.1 ipsw so I restored it to that. But there's some issues now, when I go to settings and then about right after "4.3.1" it has in parentheses (8H6), is there any way of getting rid of that? Second problem is that when I bring up the multitasking bar and swipe to the right to show the music controls, the orientation lock is all black and when I press on it it says mute on (or off) (and it doesn't work either.) You don't need to do the File --> Finalize Project. Just go to Share and Export Movie and then select the type of file you want. It will only save one file in the format you choose and not four different ones. See attached screen shots.One more question, after I Export them, can I delete the projects and the events?

Yeah, you can get a router without wireless (or a wireless one and just disable that component). HERE (http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DIR-601-Wireless-Home-Router/dp/B002VJL0OS/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1302889642&sr=1-6) is a good one from Amazon that has a heck of a discount right now.

The time came to buy a new laptop. I really want to get a powerbook 15" with Superdrive but what I do is requiring allot of PC power. I need it for work and what I do is (Actuate reporting, DB2 clients, Oracle clients, Sybase clients, IBM apps such as Lotus notes ect. and ClearCase and some other Rational stuff, also Java web stuff)
I know I can't have it all on Mac it's just won't support all this stuff written for MS.
Is there a way to install an app such as advertized on this forum Pc on Mac to fully support all the apps I need or I might run in to many issues in the future (such as drivers ect.). If I can't do it with Powebook I will have to get Thinkpad T42 or T43 that will run me pretty much the same amount of money. (Thinkpads are good actually very good if not the best but I really wanted to get Powerbook if I can do all I need in it)

what will you be shooting? Are you just going to start off with one lens? Are you going to be enlarging any photos?
Personally, I cannot stand the ergonomics of the rebel line. I find them way too small (which is a plus for many a people), the lack of dedicated buttons (rear dial) is frustrating, among other things.
I would personally get a used 60D over a t3i, which basically the 60D is a Rebel, but with slightly better build. I had a 40D that i had a 17-40L attached to it last spring and I enlarged photos to 13x19 and had no problems with "just" 10MP. You can pick up a nice 40D used for about $450. A t2i goes for about $500 for the body. You can pick up a used 5D for $900-$1000.
But to start out, I would get a used body (check out FredMiranda.com in the buy and sell forum..I have bought and sold thou$ands worth over there in the last 6 or so years) and spend more money on the glass. The 18-55IS II shipped with the Rebel XS, T2i bodies.
Check out the forums at fred miranda. lots of great resources and info there.

I have the 15" MBP 2011 and I love this machine. No issues whatsoever, plus gaming in bootcamp is really good compared to my last MBP.
