Hi Guys,
I see from everywhere on the net that the world still awaits for a carrier unlock on the bb 4.10.01 and understand that my iPhone 4 is doomed just because it is now with 4.3.2 and non-d'gradable due to Apple not signing the 4.3.1, etc.
Does anyone know when to expect for a workaround to the "no service" issue considering the fact that bb 4.10.01 is still unlockable!!!

You'll need something more than iMovie for that, Final Cut Express at least.

Apple Stores usually just change the price tag/info box out front until they have a chance (read: a week to two weeks) to get a stock of them, swap them out, etc.
Go to "About this Mac..." on some PowerBooks or iBooks. The one by us had Rev. B PowerBooks up until the Rev. Ds came out, then swapped them. That was because of the Rev. Ds new Scrolling Feature. So they had to.
Not really a big deal that they are last generation. Notice it took a bit for them to get Shuffles? Thus, that time (probably shorter) will it need be for new stuff to come out.

I have a 3 1/2 year old 20 inch iMac and have had no problems with it. I notice the past several months or so when I quit it at night it shuts down within 3-4 seconds. It hasn't always been this way and I am not complaining, but just wondering why it's a fairly recent occurrence. It starts up using the normal amount of time but the shut down is almost instantaneous. Everything is up to date with the latest version. I just wonder why it shuts down so fast. I bypass the 10 second wait when shutting down by holding down the shift and option or maybe it's the shift and command buttons. I don't want to try it right now by shutting it down. Does everybody,s computer shut down this fast or is it just me?

It's probably not updated. Office X is so old that it may not even be supported anymore. Search Microsoft's support sites for the latest patch and update Office X.

We are talking about a file server on a local network. It's only data transfer bottleneck would be the ethernet connection. The iBooks stock HD could easily keep up with gigabit ethernet.

That iBook does not have gigabit ethernet. No iBook has gigabit ethernet. 100mbit is not very fast. We're talking realistically 8-10MB/s, maximum on a 100mbit is 12.5 which you'll never hit.

it should be. i was looking into the same thing for my ipod 5.5g when the hard drive and lcd screen went out on it, but i couldnt find a busted ipod that had everything i wanted for a price that was reasonable. my reasoning was that i have custom engraving on the back plate that i wanted to keep. i ended up getting just a new screen and hard drive. everything i researched pointed to the guts being transferable between the two models. in fact, the hard drive and lcd screen i purchased were both spec'd as being for a 6gen ipod classic and they both dropped right in and work great.

not listed as a current study by stanford, but all folding research will help advance all knowledge of related disease. diabetes has been linked to mis-folded proteins, and work is ongoing by other universities. Depends on what you liked from the first one. BioShock 2 was a better "game" to play, as the shooting and plasmid mechanics were refined a little bit, and it had a little more variety in the action. But, if you liked the story, and creepy pacing and atmosphere from the first one, BS2 was not as good. Though, it could just be the fact that experiencing Rapture for the first time in BioShock 1 was so amazing, it was kind of impossible for BioShock 2 to live up to it. But really, it was a good game. If you find it on sale anywhere, it is still very worth playing.
I guess real estate under the ocean became too expensive and they decided to lease air-rights instead.

Well now that I'm looking at how I plan to use it an Apple TV would be great. I plan on using the speakers with a tv for better TV sound and using them to play streamed music.

To me, the best thing about being Canadian is not even thinking about being Canadian. I just live my life and don't even worry about it. I've got a good life and a good job, I have earned everything I want, and if I get sick -- I'll be well taken care of. I won't go bankrupt or lose my savings or my house. The rest of the world consistently ranks Canada as one of the best places to live, period. (Sorry neighbours, but the USA doesn't even make the Top 10.)
