A more famous (or infamous) example is potty-mouthed moron Julie Powell, whose 15 minutes of fame--achieved on the back of Julia Child's classic cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking--culminated in a major Hollywood movie about her life starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams!
Personally, I prefer Dan Aykroyd as Julia Child, but the movie did have Amy Adams in it.

I created this guide awhile back and I figure it is time for a refresh.
I would like to add some photos to the guide, but I am not total sure of how to do this. I currently have some screen shots to better assist, not the best, but it's a start.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide on a cost effect RAID system for my Mac Pro. I do professional audio as I am a freelance composer/sound designer, and my data is very important. I currently back-up to a cloud (Which is slow, and still won't back up my OS X system data), so I have one solution, and I try to back up to other disks when possible, but I would love to have an external system that could completely mirror all of my internal drives. I posted this somewhere else, but I'm going to try and summarize what I've concluded here:

It is a bit more than what I want to spend, but I think it is a solid solution. The disadvantage is that although it has a hardware RAID built into the unit, I cannot set it to mirror my internal drives (as it would actually do a RAID1 mirror within itself, therefore halving the amount of storage). So here is my question. Can I buy a quad hard drive eSATA RAID solution (With or without a built in hardware RAID), and use disk utility to mirror all of my internal harddrives to this new unit? My main issue is performance, easy of use, and security. I don't want reminders, I don't want to schedule a backup, I want a direct mirror at all times but I do not want it to be affecting my current work. The reason I want a RAID system is for redundancy, to prevent lost work when a drive fails. I have measures installed on my computer that warn me of failures, and I'm familiar of the sound of an ill hard drive :) In fact, I've had 3 drives recently crap out on me, but I was lucky enough to clone then in time with no lost data.
Now, since I asked that question, my second question is, do I now need a RAID card with 4 eSATA ports, or can I just use an eSATA extender from the extra eSATA port on my mother board (3,1 - 2008 mac pro)? I ask this because, if I get a solution such as the Mercury Qx2, I won't be using it's built in RAID switches, I'd have it set to see all drives and then use disk utility or something else to do the RAID.
I'm sorry if I seem a bit lost, but I've never done a RAID or have really looked into them. My work at home is less than 50% of my income, but as I've done more and more projects I really need a solid, professional solution to having redundant drives.

This is the version with the full number pad and acrylic back. In very good shape with no noticeable wear on the front. Some light wear on the back, but its friggin' acrylic so what do you expect :D

I've recently been playing around with N64, and remember how great the graphics looked on Tekken Tag (my first PS2 game, on the day it came out here after a midnight queue) compared to that. It is amazing that we have come that far in such a short timespan. Tekken Tag looks rubbish compared to the latest PS2 games...
I don't care what Nintendo says, for a lot of games, the graphics improve the gaming experience greatly. I do not currently (and may never) have a PS3, but I am sure that this Lair will look dreadful in a few years compared to what will have been achieved on the same hardware.
Yeah, right now, these graphics look amazing. If you think these graphics look bland and repetitive, I imagine if you look at it on a 1080p monitor, it'll blow your mind away. Watching this video doesn't show off the true potential. I really want this game now. :cool: I'm sure there's much more that they haven't even shown yet.

Definitely not worth $0.99. Sorry to be harsh, but that's trash. It seems like you put this together on paint to try and make a few dollars. I could buy this... Or I could buy a game like Angry Birds for the same price...
You should spend more time finishing off this app and release something semi-professional, and not something my 2 year old little cousin could draw.

Why the faffing about? You can't install an App Store ipa (free or otherwise) if you don't have a patched MobileInstallation file (a-la AppSync).
The source is up on GitHub, you should be able to import it in to Xcode, compile it yourself and install it on your device.

I guess the question is what would they get out of it, maybe google but apple gets nothing out of it the information would not be that valuable to apple and the pr is a nightmare. that is not to say that they may not be doing something that of course we know but considering the fanfare around apple products its not like any of this will not be found out after some time.
to me this I think is going to be taken care in the next revision but it is nice to know there are people out there keeping an eye for stuff like this. :)
