I recently sold my g4 ibook 800mhz with an airport card 250gb hard drive new keyboard and 1.12gb of ram for 300. I made 50 bucks on the deal cuz it only cost me 250 for the ibook and the upgrades. Id say it was worth 300 but no more than that. Last night i bought a mid 2009 macbook for 420 with applecare til 8-12. I feel i got a deal given the average macbook price on craigslist is 600-700 here in detroit. What im saying is for every person trying to charge a premium theres someone desperate selling to the first person that makes an offer. Everyone else falls in between. Those of us who know better pay what an item is worth while the rest pay the premium. Unfortunately theres more of them than there is of us.

Simple enough update, just click here (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.10.1/patches/259708.xpi) to install for PR1.0 :)

You'll need to read up on this, as I'm not sure of all the implied risks...
You can connect the lc475 to another SCSI enabled Mac via SCSI in disk mode.
You can use the host Mac to format the drive from the CD Rom on your host Mac.
Be sure to connect SCSI when machines are off, then boot up. Host machine first.
Check apple tech notes on this procedure, because I haven't done this in about 8 years.
If the SCSI card on the lc475 is on the fritz... Possibly as a last resort, you can take the drive out of the lc475 and add it to another Mac, install the system and return the drive to the lc475. (Termination is an issue here).

"Quick, does anyone here happen to be a marine biologist? We need a marine biologist!"
The sea was angry that day, my friend ... like an old man trying to return soup in a deli.

It does indeed fit the 3g. I have a 3g and it fits great. The little plug fits tight. I've had my case for several months now and the plug still fits great. Just as snug and secure as when I first installed it.
Buy one, you won't regret it.

okay, then what kind of games/dvd's are you interested in? i have more
Well, I have lots of movies, so it would have to be something not so popular I guess:
Criterion Collection Films, Classic Films, old-old films (silent in the early era of filmmaking), or maybe History Channel/Discovery Channel type DVD's, Aqua Teen, Sealab (Adult Swim) dvd's.
Games:
Do you have any recent star wars games, sonic the hedgehog anthology?, megaman anthology?, x-men games?
Name off anything you'd be willing to part with and maybe we can work something out. Thanks!

I am looking to replace my POS tripod.
I really am clueless on what makes a good tripod, so please feel free to educate me on what would be a good starting tripod ?
what brands are good, what to brands and models to avoid.
thanks
Search the DP forum here for a thread titled Let's Talk Tripods.
Thanks for posting the link, pit. You beat me on the keyboard.

What did you mean by nope? All I said is that when he's doing his demos that he's been using the ATI9700. Also what do you mean that they wish they would switch to RDRam or at least DDR? DDR400 due out by early next year shows a significant advantage over the fastest RDRam which is technically maxed at the moment. Not to mention the insane licensing fees that RDRam has.

Probably around the same time it ships, 2 weeks.
Seems like everything at the Keynote was "Available in just 2 weeks!"

I have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop that I'm very happy with. They mouse and keyboard share the same receiver, so that still leaves one USB slot for you. The batteries last a long time, and the two-button/wheeled mouse seems to be what you're looking for.
I got my complete set before Christmas for $28 after rebate - I think they were moving the set up another version.
Found this on google, so these might still be around ..

I finally solved this with the help of a writer, who told me to set the page size to A4 and set stonking great margins on all sides, which worked.
Thank you for directing me to the GIMP site and drivers, MisterMe, I'm using the LaserWriter 6 one, which seems slightly more reliable than HP's.
The Printer Setup Utility is still listing two each of HP LaserWriter 1200 and HP LaserWriter 1220 for some reason; I assume that the utility has become corrupt. But I'll solve that problem another day, or else someone will actually produce a simple, cheap printer that works well, with a good driver of a quality of workability and presentation equivalent to other types of software.

Thanks for the prompt response! will give it a go, unfortunately don't have access to another mac, think the screen settings may have been adjusted with the PRAM reset, but could also be that the PRAM triggered the Hard Drive failure?
