I've had no problem with the TDK 2x media in the 104 and 105 superdrives. Also, the Apple 2x and 4x media work as advertised.

Despite posting impressive sales of the iPad last quarter, Apple saw its tablet market share drop from 95 percent to 77 percent as shipments of Google Android-based tablets chipped away at the company's tablet dominance, a new report says.

Not at all surprising. Eventually, the open platform will always win over the platform that only one player uses. The iOS platform will become a niche platform just as Mac OS (X) still is one today.
If you want to own a market, you have to open your platform to other players, just like Google and Microsoft license their software to whoever wants to make hardware and software for them. Divide et impera - divide and rule. Apple never understood this simple concept.

In 1999 I watched a Macworld Expo on ZDTV and was hooked. I ordered an iBook right after the show. Then while the iBook was on order I figured I needed a iMac to go with it so I ordered the first of the iMac DVSE's. Then of course my kids needed one so I bought then an iMac. I have since sold my iMac and iBook and bought a new iBook. I also bought an original iMac and upgraded it with a big hard drve and the Harmoni upgrade. I would kill for a new iMac or Power Mac but the $$$$ is not there now. The only reason I built a PC is because I am in school for Network Admin. I have my A+ Cert already and I need tht PC for school and learning. If I could never use one again I would be happy but the choice is not there. I am sick of people making fun of the Mac (at my part time PC tech job). They will never learn.

These "updates" have so far added up to more data than on the original Discs! Worst Office packages ever. Why don't they try realising a complete version for a change instead of selling half-assed ones

The M0116 should have the same tactile feedback as the original Apple Extended Keyboard (released in '87 with the SE and II), although be careful here, as the Extended Keyboard II was released in 1990, and those keys are a little softer (and quieter).
And I'm with you - I consider the late 80s Apple keyboards to have the best feel, although they are a little loud by today's standards.

Any idea how I can make is animation view more modular?
I have several UIViewControllers and they have buttons that will call a sliding pickerView. The dataSource on the pickerView would be different but everything else is the same.
Right now I have an animated view in one ViewController but I'm guessing the other ViewController will have problems calling this and it appears when other ViewControllers are active?

i just want the keybaord, i have the following to offer, true crime streets of LA (gamecube) and possibly some others, i have the following dvd's for trade, Terminator 3, Die another Day and the recruit. that is just for the keybaord, are you interested?

Hmmm, so many times the system is awake but the back light isn't coming on? I'll have to try that with mine, I always figured my system was totally frozen since shutting the lid did nothing & hitting space bar didn't do anything. I'll see if really it still will react to being told to sleep again. I'm really wondering if this is still just a software bug or some kind or logic or hardware problem. My nearest apple store is 75 miles away & I figure this wouldn't be a same day swap/replacement...

Even then, the download link that is clearly NOT the Apple website would give it away. No point going to too much effort to make it any more convincing. You are only hoping to fool the incredibly stupid anyway - which by the way is a surprisingly huge amount of computer users.

i think you will need a later-model screen, but i'm not 100% sure on that. i know mine was backwards compatible, but i'm not sure about the other way. also, not 100% sure about the front plate either. i never went through with the complete swap.
But the 6th gen logic board will definitely work if I hook it up to my 5.5 Gen iPod?

what happens when we get beyond iPad 9 or 10 will apple continue using numbers or will they call it something else? I mean iPad 10 sounds dumb even iPad 9 sounds stupid.
There wont be any iPad's by that time. We'll simply have iPhone's that unfold into a 10 inch screen if you need a larger screen surface for what you're doing. :D

From reading the article it seems like many people would have been saved had there been seat belts...
Why the **** don't busses have seat belts again? It's the law to have them and wear them in every other type of motor vehicle. Except busses... this would have been totally preventable.
Chung Ninh, 59, told The New York Times and NY1 News that he had been asleep in his seat, then suddenly found himself hanging upside-down from his seat belt, surrounded by the dead and screaming. One man bled from a severed arm.

I'm thinking about buying one of these dinky little mp3 players I've see. I kinda like the Creative Movo2 1.5 gig model, but can't find any details of whether it works ok with mac. Any ideas?
I really like the Packard Bell Audiodream too, but sinilar worries to above.
The only requirements I have are that my player be really small & have rechargeable battery.
No way I need anything as advanced as an ipod, I just wanna be able to play a few hours of tunes....
