well, it works...I got it to work...it's just that, the drawn one in the animatic looks really cool. did you check it out?
a lot of it is the expressiveness of the quick and dirty lines...I dig it. Also, I wont go insane rendering and re-rendering.
I may use it for perspective guidance, but not for the smoke. sad really, I spent way too much time getting it to work. Oh well....

The App Store is still giving me the "All Apps are up to date" message.
What's up with that...?
Do you have the 4.3GB XCodeInstaller.app in your /Applications directory? If not, try putting it there. If you've deleted it - try (re)moving your /developers directory.

I was actually hoping Apple's Movie Store would flop. Apple needs a wake-up call, and needs to stop cutting corners.
I bought one to test the system; I won't be buying anymore until they are DVD quality.
right, and we all have 20Meg /s net connections with unlimited bandwidth...

I dont know if anyones already seen this or not, but its certainly the first time I have.
Sony have released the GRX516SP VAIO Notebook, complete with built in DVD-R drive!
So this mean the drives are now down at a scale where they can be squeezed into a notebook form factor, in which case maybe seeing a SuperDrive in the next rev of the TiBooks isnt to unrealistic.

There can't be a thread about Cedar Point without what's-his-face who is obsessed with the place.
I kinda know who you are talking about. Doesn't he have "future CEO of Ceder Point" or something like that in his sig.?

I was at Costco today, looking at games, TVs, Cell Phones, iPod ect...and everywhere I look I saw "Vizio" TVs...and I was shocked. I had never, ever heard of these people. Where did they come from?
Well after looking the up online, I've found out that that they are decently priced, fairly well speced(for me), have a 1 year warrenty(plus 2 years from Costco for a total of 3 years), but I can't bring me self to buy one. Has anyone bought one of there TVs? Are they any good?
*Reason this is in here is because I'll be mostly gaming on it.

I'm a recent switcher who traded his PIII 850 MHz Dell laptop for a 550 MHz TiBook back in January. In my honest opinion, you will probably notice a significant speed decrease if you are running IE or Word on OS X. Jaguar has improved OS X's performance, but it still lags behind a P III. Webpages load much faster on a PC, although as other reviewers have pointed out, it may have more to do with the browsers. If you run it on OS 9, however, web surfing and processing is pretty fast.
Nevertheless, I have few regrets in switching. My TiBook has handled many tasks for me without greeting me with a blue screen of death. You can plug in any hardware with full confidence that it will work on a Mac (I was reminded of this when I had spent a frustrating hour trying to get my PC at work to read the external zip drive). PC users have come to expect crashes as much as humans expect the rain--a natural occurrence. Rather than "Think Different," I think the new Apple slogan should be something like "Mac: It just works." :D
Here are some of the programs I run: Office X, AOL IM, Mozilla, IE, REALbasic, iTunes, iPhoto, and FileMaker Pro. I have Photoshop 7 but I can't compare the speed between P7 on a Mac and PC since I had never used it on a PC. It runs fast enough for my purposes.
In my direct experience, I have found PCs to be faster than Macs, but far less stable and compatible with 3rd party hardware.

Keeping this thread on track, my question is how do they keep animals from these disasters from spreading the leaking radiation?
They go to great lengths to quarantine people when exposed, so they don't spread the radiation. But nobody ever talks about the animals that make there way into these areas and then roam into populated places. The exposure damage a flock of migrating birds could cause is mind blowing.
You'd have to be fairly close to them for more than a brief encounter and the radiation dissipates after awhile. Not only that, they'd have to get fairly large doses in the first place to emit much radiation.

My experience with a seemingly similar problem was with my Windows machines, but I think it applies. I would check the screen saver and power options to what they are set to, it seems like it is trying to start the screen saver but it fails for some reason.
Also, I would be surprised if you didn't see something in the system logs telling you what was happing.

Nah, why otherwise go to all the effort of pulling what you do as Shepard from ME1 and 2?
As far as exploring the galaxy and more RPG stuff, the announcement said that Shepard would have to get the galactic civilizations together to fight the Reapers, so presumably we'll still be flying around a bit. And for RPG, I think I read something that mentioned they'd heard the complaints about that for ME2 so hopefully that'll be addressed.
That's a glimmer of light.
I'm just worried, since other games I like have been going Modern Wafware or Gears of War to appease mainstream.
It didn't help my concerns when one of the uppers over at EA announced that single player games are dead and multiplayer is where it's at -- I'm wondering if he's the reason Dead Space 2 is getting the Modern Warfare 2 treatment? Anyways, I hope he leaves EA, or Bioware breaks off before any real harm can be done.
Anyways, I'll still buy this game and I really hope it has the best of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 combined.

As far as the font smoothing goes, it annoyed me at first, too. Everything looked so fuzzy. However, after a few months of using Macs, I've grown accustomed to it. Now, when I use a PC again, I can't believe how harsh and jagged Windows looks to me.

Nice find. Looks MIB from your pix. Care to share how much it was?
It is! very clean, no cracks. Boxes are in great condition also, I collected them from the seller to save any further damage from the couriers!
Cost was 200 GBP, so about $316, may seem expensive in the US but I think it was a good deal considering its overall condition.

So you think Apple should allow iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G, even though it cripples it beyond use?
That is a pointless and incorrect exaggeration. I have used iOS 4 on my 3G since the day it was released and yes, in some situations I notice a slight slowdown but not to the point that it would be annoying and certainly not "crippled beyond use". Overall I find my 3G far more usable now with folders speeding up the process of finding applications greatly and the "quick switch" feature of iOS compatible applications also speeds up the launch of many applications significantly.

I just got the iPhone 4 - love it! - and I love the sleekness of the phone. I currently have a Zagg invisible shield on the front and back of the device but I am starting to feel that a case may not be a bad idea. I have been looking around for a case that is not rubbery so that it does not pull out your pocket when you reach for your phone and I am also looking for a transparent one so that the beautiful phone is still visible. Any suggestions?

Doesn't matter, I'm approaching the big 500 anyway, so you'll be able to see it soon enough. :)Looking forward to it... :)
