If you have a newer MBP with a built-in card reader, use it -- pop the SD card out of the camera and put it into your computer -- it's a much more reliable way to transfer photos.
If you have an older MBP, or a 17", with an otherwise-fallow ExpressCard/34 slot -- pick up an ExpressCard/34 SD card reader. Sandisk used to make one that sat flush with the chassis, but I'm not sure if that's still available -- handy item.

The screen of the MBA is better to program on than the MBP. The extra resolution (1440x900 over 1280x800) makes it so more code is up on screen at a time, which is something I like (I hate scrolling or switching windows).
I hate scrolling and moving windows to work with all the windows open at one time in X-code. I bought a MBP 15" for working code. Kind of wish I got the 17" for the increased area but more to carry around. External to come soon.
A question though...my mid-2009 MBP does 1440x900. I'm confused by your stating the MBA is better because of extra res.

Just to chime back in on this one - as with the previous poster, the first update to DP2 worked flawlessly for me too. I wonder how/if we'll know when Apple fix the download...?

The iPhone can't handle Charlie with just an A4 processor. After all, we heard Charlie tell us what the "Charlie Sheen drug" will do to you. You need an A5 for that.
Lmao I actually don't even think the A5 would be able to handle it. I'm not sure if you watched his interview or not but his brain is far superior than the normal brain.

MBA Rev A (about to be sold)
Blackbook
Emac
Powerbook 1400
Performa 1200
Mac SE
I find it hard to let go!
Don't even get me started on iPods!
I never owned, but always wanted, a BlackBook... I had various white iterations, but, every now and then I troll Craigslist and Kijiji for a good deal on an old BlackBook.

that would be hilarious if:
1.) apple hadn't ALREADY changed the tech world so many times
a) apple I (first PC that changed the industry, and made every one follow in apple's footsteps)
b) macintosh (first PC with GUI that changed the industry, and made every one follow in apple's footsteps)
c) powerbook 100 (first modern portable computer)
d) iMac (first real pc to capture "trend" status)
e)apple quicktake (first truly consumer level digital camera)
f)apple newton (first truly consumer level PDA, and the godfather of all current smartphones, minus the phone, obviously.)
g)apple ipod (first digital music player that changed the industry, and made everyone follow in apple's footsteps)
h)apple iphone (first smartphone to incorporate a multi-touch screen and take full advantage of the phone as a mobile computing device)
i)apple ipad (first tablet PC that changed the industry, and made everyone follow in apple's footsteps)
I totally agree, outside of those areas, apple has made no significant impact on anyone's life. The question that you need to ask yourself is "How many products that apple has had very direct influence on do I use on a day to day basis?"
I'm assuming most, if not all of the previously mentioned products find their way into your life pretty regularly.
Thank you for actually changing the world...just like you said you would, apple.
I think you're misunderstanding the point of that, which was more to poke fun at the obsessive Apple users.

None of my friends want an Xbox, they all sold theirs, just don't play games anymore or never liked the xbox library. Mine will be going next to my Amiga, NES, classic GB series and Mega Drive in an air tight box for future play. I loved playing with my dads toys when I was a kid so it's probably only right that I do the same for my future kids!
Probably best keeping it till they get 100% b/c on the 360.
Bit funny really, the DC is the only last gen system I still play! And that did crap in the market!

I am quite dismayed however, at the flak I've gotten from people who just can't understand: 1) why I would change my mind about a song and, 2) why I would want to delete a song. Is this symptomatic of a society of control freaks that think if THEY can't conceive of a reason for doing something then that something must not be allowed? I'm reminded of Al Gore's recent remark about "digital brownshirts".
While I congratulate DailyTunes for striking a note of freedom, there are countless other data bases out there which contain your digital footprint and you have no way, short of an act of Congress, to get that data deleted. The internet is still a very new aspect of our society and I think it is important that we proceed carefully and err toward the needs of people. Perhaps this episode serves as a cautionary tale for those who choose "the system" over freedom.

It now looks as if there wont be a superdrive model, so apple will have to make up for it with other features.

I'm letting it sit for another 8 hours - to make it a full 3 days. I'll be sure to update when I get the courage to turn it on in the morning! (it's midnight here fyi)

I can't offer any help, but seeing that this is primarily a Mac users forum, it'll be somewhat impossible to find someone on here that could help you, as MS Publisher is not available for the Mac Platform. Trying some MS Publisher/Office threads will do you better.
Best of luck.

Also, with an ATi card, you can use the ATi Displays control panel, for the OpenGL override settings to force anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.

Some artists have their very own category on my iPod because they have very extensive library's.
Frank Zappa - FRANK
Bob Dylan - Dylan
Grateful Dead - The Dead
Lou Reed - The Man
David Bowie - Bowie
etc.....
Have fun with labels like Cat Stevens is listed as Radical Islamic Singalongs, no offense to Islam and it's followers, just my sense of humor :p.

Select each family member's contact in the Address Book. Assign it a category "family".
Create one rule under the account type (POP,IMAP, Exchange)
From is in category Family
Move to folder "Family"
For help with rules see http://www.office.mvps.org/rules/index.html
Much was written for Entourage but the same concepts apply to Outlook.

my friend gave me a old xbox (it didn't work). i opened it up it has the old samsung drive in it. i took a q tip and slightly dampened it with diluted windex. and cleaned the eye on it. i looked more closely under the eye there is a clear shield to protect the laser from dust. with a small knife i lifted the eye up to be able to put a q tip with allot of its stuffing removed in there wetted with the diluted windex. i then repeated the process to make sure it was clean.
i put in a game and it worked. it still had problems reading some games so i took a string and 2 pieces of tape and taped one side of the string ot the center of the disk spindle and the other to the drive sled opposite to the front which has a hole drilled in the exact center of the drive. i also seen there was adjustments for the track for each arm. with the dvd drive case removed and everything all hooked up i turned it on allowing me to see if the laser light met the string but it didnt. so i kept turning it off and back on to get the laser to turn on and kept adjusting it till i seen the laser light was touching the string. now the xbox works flawlessly like it was new.
but be warned you can damage the drive beyond repair by lifting to high on the eye.
there is allot you can do with the xbox, i see a mod to where you take a broken xbox (something that has mobo problems and wont work at all) de solder the memory chips on the broken xbox mobo and put them in the working xbox to give it double ram (128mb ram)
i did a easy mod to mine be removing the stock IDE cables and replace it with 80 wire 40 pin ultra ATA/133 IDE cable and it does improve loading times.
you can turn it into a media center or what have you. there is basicly nothing you cant do with a old xbox. providing you install a mod chip in it ( i helped a friend install one on his and boy was it a PITA to do)
