Yes there is, and this is how.
1) Add layer in Photoshop
2) Drop a black paint bucket
3) Merge Down
4) Save as..
This method also works well with white.

ETA, thats great. How exactly do you have it setup?
IMO Using the aggregate soundcard function is not a permanent solution.
Its much better to have the all the audio coming in/out of one device.
You will get much greater sound quality,reliability and less latency using one device.
This will be very important if you want to/end up djing outside your own home.

^^ I do realise 150+ is alot to spend initially but in the long run you will see the benefits outweigh the cost.
The phrase "buy cheap buy twice" is worth thinking about.
Couldn't agree more. Yes this setup is very much temporary to see if DJ'ing is for me then I can slowly expand my gear (first step decent multi channel soundcard hha)
Set up is very dodgy...Speakers to Cheapy USB soundcard to USB expander to mac, headphones to mac, and their USB power supply to USB port expander (along with the USB for deck, lol)

Thanks very much, I would like to store the videos externally instead of leaving them on the MBA but not lose the HD. Sounds like the Superdrive is out, so if I store it on an external hard drive, will it maintain HD at 1080 or even 720 when playing back from it on my MBA or TV?
Hope I made sense
Thanks much.:)

Is anyone on AIM now that can show me how to make a my SQL database on my server?
My AIM is "Glenn A Wolsey"
Without quotes
wowww, thats a very broad request. have you installed the software yet? what os? the easiest way to administrate a mysql database -- especially for a beginner -- is to download a mysql admin gui...i cant name one for os x, but you could try phpMyAdmin if you're running a web server on the same machine. otherwise check out version tracker.

I've been trying to do use several shortcuts with the "fat" arrowkeys but I don't have a "fat" arrowkey on my keyboard. Does it mean something else or am I just slow?

I hope that one day we actually do evolve as a species into something more enlightened rather than remaining the tool-wielding moronic savages that we are and have been since we split off from the rest of the apes.

thanks for quick, great reply Guys!
but...
Your problem has nothing to do with selectors at all.
I've thought that the reason why breakpoints point 4 times at count++ is because of selector:
-(void) sortedList
{
//int count=0;
[bookArray sortUsingSelector:@selector(compareName:)];
}
-(NSComparisonResult) compareName: (id) element
{
count++;
NSLog(@" ");
NSLog(@"the count number: %d", count);
NSLog(@"-------------------------");
NSLog(@"what is here?:%@", [element name]);
NSLog(@"and here: %@",[self name]);
NSLog(@"+++++++++++++++++++++++++");
NSLog(@" ");
return [name compare:(id) [element name]];
}
I put breakpoints because I wonder what happen with this code during debugging. Now I know that code go 4 times through "-(NSComparisonResult) compareName: (id) element", but I still don't know why my program know that he must make a "loop"? and if I call these method:
[bookArray sortUsingSelector:@selector(compareName: )]
program knows what put as a argument here:
-(NSComparisonResult) compareName: (id) element
..and he knows that (for my array) for 4 times..
..why? because of @selector?

For those of you using the SMP client, are you finding that you have to run pretty much 24/7 in order to make the work unit deadlines?the biggest factor is your clock speed for shaving off time on each step of the WU. if you are not doing CPU intensive tasks the time for each step should remain pretty constant. say each step requires an average of 16 minutes you could multiply that by 100 for the steps and get 1600 minutes. thats 26 hours if running 24/7. the deadline is like 3 or 4 days so you could take some breaks in between there and get it done. say each step is 20 minutes then your looking at 33 hours etc
so yeah if you take small breaks no prob, but if you leave it off for a day or more you may be cutting it close.

To be fair (not that I am disagreeing with you), the truck driver might not have been fully aware of what happened, since it was happening behind him at freeway speed (60 mph is 88 feet per second, so things behind you recede rather quickly). We do not know how close the vehicles came to each other or whether their was even contact. If he was a (lamentably) inattentive driver, he might not have realized that he was involved. In fact, if, as rdowns said (some witnesses said the bus was speeding) has anything to it, "cut off" might have been due to the truck driver misjudging how fast the bus was going. We can string him up, yes, but only after all the facts are in.
i agree with pretty much everything you said. i know we need facts before we can judge. i was just making broad assumptions but if the truck driver wasn't the cause then you obviously shouldn't hold him at fault.
Apparently evidence is pointing to the bus NOT being clipped by the truck ... and conflicting eyewitness accounts to what the bus driver is saying.
Looking more like the Bus Driver may be at fault ...

Yes. All the hot girls that will swarm you, lol, I kid I kid.
I truly think you're just unlucky with the failure on your Logic board. I had a Powerbook G4 for 5 years and it never failed me. It was my college sidekick and I took it everywhere. For every story of a person with a failed Apple product I am sure that there are 100s of success story such as mine. Then again I have not had any HP/Toshiba/Sony product failed on me. I say go for the 2011 MBP and don't worry about all of the ifs.

All,
My dev box is macbook pro with latest OSX, dual boot to Win7 Ult 64.
I setup apache,perl,SSL, php,sql in Win with no problems and website is on the NTFS partition.
on OSX side, apache runs and I have the DocumentRoot to pointed to
/Volumes/Mac_Daddy/docs/web_curr/public_html
NTFS-3G runs fine, I can read/write to win partition but apache is still looking for the doc in Site folder??? WTF???
also I have named the
ServerName localhost
so in any browser if I type in http://localhost the site on the NTFS should be pointed to and loaded but it doesn't work.
and apache thinks the address is 192.xxxx/~user WTF is going on???
do i need to set a hard link in the user's site?? force 127.0.0.1 in the hosts file??
any help kindly appreciated.

Hey vollspacken,
If you're a student, have you checked out Apple's educational discounts? I think they were selling the 667 and 800 Mhz models for about $1,900 and $2,400, respectively. I paid about $2,600 back in January for a 550 Mhz. :(
