I just realized that the titles of my top 28 iTunes songs strung together, ordered by their playcount, results in kind of an interesting semi-comprehensible "poem". (I did have to add some punctuation marks)
Does this make sense to anybody else? :D
Feel free to tell me to stop butchering the English language... :p
Things have changed, funny the way it is…New slang, no ceiling. Have You Seen Me Lately? Ain't no reason. Modern Way: Something Pretty. OH MY GOD...evil.
The Story: They sail away, all the same. Wolf like me: this river is wild.
An Open Letter to NYC:
While you were sleeping on mercury, watching the wheels & the "sentinel-concrete-band-soul-meets-body-shampoo-society": Such great heights (The Dress Looks Nice On You).
Far behind, better together...

Is it me or is the main MR page giving a "Server stopped Responding" error. ???
Yea for the mobile site. Really slow for the past hour. It looks up and runnning now. It looks like they transitioned to mobile.macrumors.com (unless I just never realized it until now).
OT: May I suggest being able to zoom in the mobile site?

I had delusions of having a fun job and making money :p
Now I'm just over worked and underpaid(not by much mind you).
Then again I guess I'm doing ok for only being 23

Thanks for the info! So we can be 100% sure that iFixIt sells only OEM stuff? I notice they have the front panel in stock, but not the other parts.

Most of the 720p h264 media on the web is upward of 4MB/s (due to scene rules), with an extra 640/768/1536KB/s for audio. So the bitrate can easily reach around double what you're suggesting.
Exactly. So unless he's going to be storing text documents and mp3s, it's not really going to be all that great.

Hi,
Just setting up a new iPhone for my father, who has (under my poor watchful eye!) clicked the 'Never Register' button on iTunes when plugging the phone in. Is there a way of registering it still through iTunes? Many thanks!
Oh, and I've tried restoring it to its factory settings and even that doesn't bring the registration screen back!

Or did they ever make them with the newer built in battery? Also, were the 2.0 and 2.4 ghz models the same release? How big of a difference are the two in processing power? Thanks : )

I got into web design in March this year--with a free Zoomshare site. My bikes were broken and the weather was poor, so I gave it a shot. I used NVU (http://www.nvu.com) up until July. CJB (http://www.cjb.cc) allowed me to be a little more creative on my site, and eventually I bought a domain name and upgraded hosting.
What's kept me going, even though I haven't made a dime yet (free projects), is trying to produce tidy code and learning new CSS tricks. From July-August, I learned CSS and XHTML (strict...). Next summer, I hope to learn PHP, then XML, and so on. What's frustrated me most since March is IE6. My design (http://www.deldindesign.com) site gets a little messed up in IE, so I've got some work to do still...

How about a user still being able to log in while on timeout but is unable to post. I say this as then you can still have communication from the offending user to the mods via pm (maybe restrict pm to just to mods during this time) vs using the contact us form which requires one to fill out a form to address an issue

FileVault places the contents of your home folder in an encrypted disk image. It cannot have any affect on the ability to erase your drive. Do realize, however, that your data will be gone if you format the drive. I assume you recognize that, but just want to be certain.

I got a TON of old CD's from the past. I wis to sell these CD's but not sure if its against the law to do so. Since this software is all during the Mac OS 7-9 days, it may be difficult to sell it. But I am not sure. What do you say? Can the software be sold legally and what is my best option for selling it? I doubt anyone in my local area would buy it, so that rules out CraigsList. My then only option is Ebay.

I got a fine link to download the video (thanks to the iPad-useragent ):

Just wanted to join the "Thank you"-choir. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.
...and to pop a question: What's the iPad-useragent - and how can you use that to download streaming videos?

Do you mean like science in general or computers in science. I'd be interested in the former.

I got this lens when I thought I would prefer the range to the speed of my Tamron 28-75 but then decided I was going to stick with the 28-75. I'm looking to get $300 for this awesome lens.

I was just commenting to someone the other day about the lack of porn that uses i-devices as props. One would think that iphone porn would do well.

i think it would work. the whole reason of macrumors is for people who like to stay on the cutting edge with apple's technology so it's not a real stretch a lot of those people might be interested in computing, and science in general

I remember walking into this new type of "place" called a "computer store" - they sold only computers!
They had the new Apple ][ (you didn't have to "build a case" for it - YAY!) hooked up to a Sony Trinitron TV in the window with a seat, I sat there for hours - a living store display...
Someone broke into the store, and stole only the Sony TV....
They closed and moved somewhere else - can't remember where. At least I got to try the "new" TI-99/4 before they left...

This is the adapter used to hook iBook G4s, iMacs, and eMacs up to a secondary VGA display. I no longer need it. Excellent condition, Apple sells them for $19.

Since it has warranty, go and ask Apple and see what they'll do.

... I would still argue that wealth creation is the best way to combat it.
Wealth creation?
If Florida became uninhabitable and Mexico become unarable there'd be a tremendous loss of wealth.
How is a person who loses his house or farm going to have the means to move to Canada to start all over again?

hey guys, I'm having problems because windows 7 won't install after the computer restarts. I think it's because bootcamp 3.0.4 isn't current enough. Here's the kicker, auto update won't detect the newer version and when I download the new one it opens as code in the text form. I have a 15" MBP mid-2009. i'm installing 64-bit windows
