What about using a gigabit connected NAS instead? Faster even than FW800, and you can now put it anywhere in your house, instead of having to have it in the same room.

Data Rescue worked for me several times, it even had to scan one HDD for over a week and it worked.

I got a new iPhone and want to give my son my 3GS. The guy at Best Buy said I should be able to move his sim card from his 3G to my 3GS and all the info would switch over.
When I move the sim card the 3GS activates but still has my contacts, etc. even though it is his sim card. Help??

Since it has warranty, go and ask Apple and see what they'll do.

Try to avoid the appDelegate, and work with your RootViewController! :)
There, don't forget the UITextFieldDelegate.
Then go to the delegate, and it gives u all the methods u could use, from this delegate.
For example, when u click the return button, that it saves to a label.
So then u can define a Label. and then use the setText or the "labelName.text = @"";
Good luck.

Yes, LOUD voices...
I don't freaking need the thing. I have got to have it.
Maybe I should see how long I can go before I go mental.
Hehe, my first thought was who am I going to give my Shuffle to in order to get me one of these. :D
I'd like it to be my new Shuffle but there is at least one thing holding me back: No lanyard with 3rd party headphones. If there were one, I'd already have bought it...
I guess I am lucky. :D

I tried to load Panther on my 10.2.8 operating system. Obviously this was a bad idea and now I need help. I just want to reload my original boot disks back onto the hard drive erasing everything else but my keyboard and mouse are not working. They worked before so this is obviously a software problem. Hmm, what do I do now? I can't get the cd drive open without the keyboard or mouse being recognized.
What I have tried.
Testing the keyboard and the mouse. They are working.
Unplugging all firewires' and other usb devices from the comp
Unplugging the keyboard and trying a different USB port--neither works.
This is definitely a weird software glitch.
Hmmm? I am pretty good with comps but I can't figure this one out.
Any advice?

An Apple Airport Express should do what you want. It comes with setup instructions for both Mac and Windows and has a connection port for a printer. If you want to save few $$ it is listed in the Apple Store 'SAVE' section (refurbished with same warranty as new) for $99 right now.
i completely agree, the express rocks. and its much cheaper than buying a seperate print server and router (if you were going to go non-apple brand)

You might consider an OWC enclosure. (macsales.com) I just got one of their 2-drive RAID enclosures and I really like it. The fan is pretty loud when it's running but I use it for media file backup so I only have it turned on when I'm actually using it so it doesn't bother me.

Probably that crazy guy who sold an iPhone for $120.
Heh, I actually didn't care who the celebrity was. Just felt like posting on a thread that was already sold, plus notified mods to lock it but mods are apparently too busy to respond .

I'm not sure, I was on the iPhone tech support.
How are everyones 5Ks?
Mine works better than the original. I only switched because the home button was soft on the first one

Hmmm, so many times the system is awake but the back light isn't coming on? I'll have to try that with mine, I always figured my system was totally frozen since shutting the lid did nothing & hitting space bar didn't do anything. I'll see if really it still will react to being told to sleep again. I'm really wondering if this is still just a software bug or some kind or logic or hardware problem. My nearest apple store is 75 miles away & I figure this wouldn't be a same day swap/replacement...

Not at all surprising. Eventually, the open platform will always win over the platform that only one player uses. The iOS platform will become a niche platform just as Mac OS (X) still is one today.
If you want to own a market, you have to open your platform to other players, just like Google and Microsoft license their software to whoever wants to make hardware and software for them. Divide et impera - divide and rule. Apple never understood this simple concept.
Not 100% true as seen with the iPod. But, guess that is the exception due to other manufactures not basing their MP3 players off of one OS like they are now with Android.
Anyway, this isn't surprising and hardly a doom and gloom moment for Apple fanboys. A 95% marketshare is expected when you are practically the only tablet maker in the market. Now that there is competition( and good competition at that), is it really surprising the iPad fell to 77%?

It's thick and not really unique - not going to be a popular product.
It's not that thick at all, not unique? Have you seen other cases like this one?

If your looking for maximum space you can put a 220 gb hard drive in your 5.5G but you need to get a 80 gb iPod to house the hard drive and it has more ram. However, it is nice to have the newer classic so you can rent movies.

Do you mean recording 4 tracks at once?
I'm sure 2GBs of memory would work but 4GB would be more ideal. If you're using 2GB, you should probably quit all your applications except Garageband (and Finder obviously).
Also, in Garageband's preferences, you can change settings to make sure recording the tracks won't slow down your Mac too much.
