why is this a thread
Because how else could the OP possibly spew out some backhanded insult that was poorly disguised as a revelation about the popularity of the iPhone?

I love mine too! It's really almost perfect. I'm afraid though that they will mess it up this fall. I've seen the camera version mockup and rumors and I think that is just stupid. I have the 16GB one and I have hundreds of songs in it and it still has a third to go on storage.. I can play it almost a week before I repeat a song. A 32 GB version would be nice but it is really unneeded. I'm hoping they don't ruin it.

From what I can tell the passwords for wireless networks don't work cross platform or perhaps they need to be translated to the correct format.
I bought a linksys wireless router and was unable to connect because the password didn't work on my mac. Unfortunately, my solution was to leave the router without password protection.
Perhaps someone else has a better solution. Goodluck.

Hey guys,
I'm not sure if this is a bad trade to ask about. But I have this for trade:
Powerbook 15''
Revision D
CDBurner
80GB HD
1GB Apple Memory
Incase Powerbook bag
I'm looking for any kind of Powermac G5, and maybe a 17 inch plastic apple flat panel (for added cash?)....
Let me know. I'm up for offers.
Thanks,
Cole

just a thought, OWC do a stacking device that allows an SSD + Hard Drive in the 2nd optical bay. That would give you 6 drives in total.
That's the direction I am currently looking at for my set up. The other day, when I cleaned out the dust I laid another SATA cable into the optical bay, ready for when I can buy the SSD.
I have 2008 MP.

I'm not sure the hellos are done here, however, I'm now fully converted and have just recently purchased a 2010 Mac Mini Server which fits into my home cinema system excellently. My main use will be to store and watch my films/music (Plex already installed), but I also intend to extend my network with an iPad later this year. well a picture paints a thousand words...

Pretty loud is pretty much an understatement.
Though the G5 XServe we have is marginally quieter than some of its Poweredge brothers and sisters, it is still comparing a jet taking off to a slightly smaller jet taking off.
I run mine in my basement, and I can hear it on the first floor of my house. It's ridiculously loud.
Yeah, they make excellent file servers. I'm using it to stream videos to my TiVo, the server automatically downloads and extracts movies from usenet. I control it from upstairs through remote desktop, I can restart it over SSH if it freezes. It pretty much runs itself, it's awesome.

Anyone know where to find an Incipio NGP case for the new iPod Touch?
I have one for my iPhone 4 and love it. Now I wanna get one for my son's new iPod touch.
Thanks in advance!

Data Rescue worked for me several times, it even had to scan one HDD for over a week and it worked.

Also, I've heard plenty say they'll "never play a movie tie in game" how is a sporting event tie in any better? Plus to get it by 2008 that game will be really rushed by Nintendo's development standards :) Expect release in time for the Winter Olympics in 2010!

Actually just here on MacRumors. If I remember right I saw like 400 membersr listed for Seti, around 50-60 hadn't completed anything and around 1200 members on F@H for MR and about the same 50-60 with nothing completed. Keep in mind I'm remembering this from a couple weeks back, but those are roughly correct.

One thing that doesn't quite make since to me though is why does it rely on networking if it's all local? I know this part must be true because I find that folding frequently crashes and/or becomes corrupted when I change networks.
For security reasons I think its the only way for separate processes to communicate with eachother. This way Safari can't send large chunks of data to mail.app for example.
