Guys, got a question. My main hobby is shooting fireworks, and I belong to a number of websites where all my "pyro friends" post videos of their various shoots. Ever since I have switched to a Macbook Pro, I always get "requires a plug in" on a couple of the sites, and I can't view the videos.
I get that message on both Firefox and Safari.
What do I need to install on my macbook Pro to be able to watch those videos seamlessly? I don't want to have to convert them...I just want to be able to click play, and they play.
Can anyone help.

I'm a huge fan of musicals (Wicked, Rent, Hairspray, Cats, Chicago) Anyone else know any good Musicals? Whats your fav? :) Mine's Wicked but Chicago and Rent are close behind!
I just loved Wicked . I had attended the last show of Wicked . It was great .I had my tickets from TicketFront.com easily.

There are rumors of a second iPhone, and a reported former iPod nano chip maker for some sorta iPhone... sheesh, just release the supposed-maybe-coming-but-who-knows thing out. It'd be funny if no phone is ever released

However, if you want to wait a little while longer ATI will be releasing their next core soon.
The next core (R520) will be amazing with core graphics! It can even help decode H.264 video. It will be a very nice step up from the current R420 core.
But who knows if/when the Mac version will be released, and then who knows if/when Apple will offer it as a BTO option.
In the meantime, yes, go with the X850. If you do any gaming on the Mac at all, then ATI is pretty much a no-brainer.

Anything is possible, depending on how much work you want to put into realizing it. Start by reading the NSWindow doc, paying especial attention to the method -initWithContentRect:styleMask:backing:defer: which, by setting the style mask, lets you create a window with no frame or titlebar. You would then have to add a view to handle the titlebar of your own design (with close/minimize/zoom buttons either taken from the system image set or drawn by your own code). You would have to write simple methods to handle clicks in your custom titlebar and its buttons, and also resizing if you need that.
You will also have to use -setOpaque: to make the entire window frame transparent (your other views will not be affected by this unless you give them a transparent background). If you have open areas in your frame that reveal other windows, you might have to figure out how to pass clicks in those areas through to the underlying windows.

Thinking about getting a 360 for a couple FPS games and maybe Oblivion. Looks like a fun game, and I was just wondering if the impression I get from the reviews are correct, or if it's just overzealous writers. :p
The game sounds like it's almost a single player FPS in that there are lots of quests which you can pick up or not and the game more or less just presents options to you rather than following any sort of dictated path. In other words, very open ended like an MMO. Is that accurate, or is it more structured than that? Thanks! :)
Oh yeah, so many times playing this game I've been amazed at the sheer scale of the world. It's like an uber-MMO you play by yourself, but with much MUCH better gameplay.
You're really not restricted in many ways at all. There are some people you just can't kill, but I'm sure that's important to avoid breaking the game. You can go anywhere, do anything you want. You can be good or bad, Famous or Infamous... it's entirely open-ended.
There is a HUGE amount of the world full of completely optional locations, quests, and characters. But don't think that means you'll be left not knowing what the heck to do.
The quest system is fairly robust, and you'll always be able to pick up the main quest at any time. To make that even easier they've even made sure to place rally-points on your map for your active quest. Meaning you are rarely ever left wondering where the heck to go if you want to get back into the main story.
I've done some of the main quest, but I've been adventuring in the game for awhile now (easily 40+ hours) and still feel like this game has a ton of content left for me to explore if I really want to. Best value for your money ever... imho!

Steve gives the best interviews ever of any one in his position. I love watching them and I love his Keynotes! I train employees on Apple products at my work and I always base the way I present them on the way Steve presents. Ever since I started doing that I have receive non stop praise of my training skills.
I think to myself... I'm just emulating Steve Jobs, but thanks!

I am having some issues streaming music through AirPlay to my AirPort Express. We have a first run AirPort Express (circa 2004) and it has never been anything short of impressive. Plug it in, it works.
Last night, we tried hooking it up and communicating with it. No dice. It was reset, though now, I realize that there are several types of resets (soft, hard, factory) and I am not certain which the hubby did. The end result was being able to connect to the AirPort Express' network but not to sign on with AirPlay. AirPlay recognizes it as an option but dulls it out for selection and has a picture of a satellite dish with a lock on it. The AirPort Express cycles through blinking amber and green. I've never had *any* issues, so I am stumped.

I'm holding out for the iPad nano. I heard they're gonna lack some features but be much smaller and pocketable. It is rumored that they'll have 3.5 inch screens. Oh wait... iPod touch :p

Mostly Atomic Web Browser. I think it looks terrible but it has tabs.
Safari for a quick google search. I hate that it brings up the bookmarks window upon startup. Yes I know it can be disabled with a Cydia app but for one reason or another it eats my battery life.

And thats why most people avoid those auctions
True, you have to sensible about it. I've seen rediculously low priced Buy It Now items with equally rediculously priced shipping. Going out with the intention of bilking the public is bad. But making one extra dollar per sale can go a long way if you're a high volume seller.

I run Windows 7 within VirtualBox on an iMac (10.6.7). I also run Ubuntu in VirtualBox. I find Windows very difficult to use although it runs fine, but have difficulty transferring files between the systems. I have used the internet for this but Windows keeps losing the connection so would like a simple means to do this within the machine. Can anyone provide me with a simple solution?

Hey Chase,
In case you are wondering. My wife just left the Apple store and they told her the guys that were sitting out there earlier got too hot and left. I will try to update you later. If you want to send me your number I can call you or something. I wouldn't post it on the board, but you can send me a private message and I"ll check before I leave home. She is going to give me an update in like an hour or hour and half.

I haven't done it recently - but I could never get the vids to play (always used Handbrake) - but maybe the updated PSP OS makes it so you can play anything now (you had to use a special Media Manager software to get it working)?
Will try later this weekend...

There seems to be a reading comprehension failure on your part.
You can either set up with a clean slate or use your backup. In this case, restore has a different meaning.
