By the way, the Sony is supposedly available in Japan now. I own a Sony and a Apple...and have no problem liking both.
I do realise that the VAIO is thicker than the TiBook, but still the point is that the drive has been shruck now to a size where it can fit into any notebook, it's just a matter of time (or technology) until they have it small enough to fit into the TiBook, and my bet is they allready can do this, it's just when they decide to release it....and in my book a 1Ghz Ti w/ SuperDrive would make an ideal launchpad.

I currently have the same problem, will take it in this weekend. I have a screen protector on mine so I'm not happy about the replacement.

That's really up to you, what you think is good.
It doesn't support charging because it charges from the firewire pin, and all of apple's products now charge off the usb. You can get a adapter to make it work if you wanted to keep that dock.

Well, then why on earth did you post those images, if not to show them off? Did you not want people to look at it as a portfolio?
Please notice that "Genius" has no connection with "ability to design graphical images" -- such was not my intention when originally writing that card, such is not my intention now.
Hmmm. Funny, because if you look at the card (see attached), it does say "visual artist". Also your resume reads like a hopeful "visual artist". And see, I can use quotation marks, where you just throw them in like "Dr. Evil". I have never said "ability to design graphical images", so please don't quote what I haven't said.
Challenge yourself to find something good about my character. Or grow up.
Please leave your little cloud and stop writing lofty sentence structures and belittling comments. Why can't you just stop pretending and be who you really are. I look through your work online (both .Mac and Macrumors) and run across fictional, dreamlike speculation without rank or merit. Which in itself is fine, but you package it like the truth and try to ram it down people's throat. Anywho... you seem to rub me wrong, and I don't want this to turn into a mudslinging contest. I apologize if I said anything that would destroy your value-system. BTW, I am pretty sure I am older than you are, so please don't advise me to grow up.

I have windows 7 installed on my mac through Bootcamp. For some reason, every time I install VMware tools on the Virtual Machine it screws up the colour and resolution.
However, Windows runs fine when booted into, as well as when VMware tools isn't installed while running Windows through VMware...
I have tried reinstalling VMware on OSX as well as on windows and nothing seems to work. I have no idea what else I could try other than installing windows but obviously that's not something I want to have to do.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?
Here's a screenshot of the issue:

My son has my old 2.8 Dual G5 with a 30' ACD he wants to use After Effects CS5 which will only run on an intel processor. I have a Quad Core Mac pro but never have the free time to let him use it.
He is considering buying a mac mini 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo so he can use After Effects. Has any one had any experience doing this? is it practical solution baring in mind we can use the mac pro to render files over night.
Any thoughts appreciated
Graeme

Yep, IE6 Win, which isn't so bad to make a design compatible, but you've got to avoid ordered lists with padding, explicitly set paddings and margins to 0 for inline text (mainly in lists), then tinker with the design for hours...It looks like IE7 won't be much better, but I'm just hoping it doesn't mess the CSS up any worse.
I hope Firefox use keeps on increasing-the new beta is great; it added mouse wheel support for scrollable divs, which IE has had for awhile. I installed NS4 just for the heck of it, and I was amazed at how poorly it supports CSS. I'm starting to use the @import method to hide it though...
I agree, I have been using the new Firefox beta and like it, it seems to load pages faster than the version 1.0.6 and seems to be pretty stable. I also hope that IE7 addresses some of the bugs in IE6, what I have read so far is encouraging, we will have to wait and see. CSS implementation should also be better in IE7, I hope.

actually they stayed loggedin for 7 days, and thats only if you're inactive for 7 days, applies to all people using it, most IM services, such as gtalk, msn, yahoo all do offline messaging, facebook does it as a message. with ebuddy i can see when people are typing, i can have group chats, do location sharing and i can file share with the apps too. so far the only thing i can't do is broadcast messages, which i've never heard of until you mentioned it, so therefore have no need. so really BBM only seems to do 1 thing that beejive and ebuddy don't do. the SMS thing is a bit silly, if someone ain't online and i want to message them i'll just SMS them, simple as, it's not like i cannot do that.
You're completely and blatantly (I'm assuming, other there's another word for it) missing the point. Knowing that you can ALWAYS communicate with a contact via a specific method is much better and more efficient than having to check if they're "online" every single time you want to message them.

Ok, so here is the deal. I have recently found my old apple 2.1 iphone lying around from a couple years back. I'm currently on t-mobile and wanted to know how to unlock my iphone for the apps and ability to use on t-mobile. Any help would be appreciated.
--iphone 2.1 - Modem firmware 04.05.04_G (yes, this is probably outdated - havent been used in a long time )
--Itunes 10
--Mac OS X version 10.6.6
thank you
Are you talking about the Iphone 2G with the silver/black in the back? if so, restore in itunes so it has the latest firmware which is 3.1.3.
once you've done so, then unlock it by following the link her;

Hmmm, so many times the system is awake but the back light isn't coming on? I'll have to try that with mine, I always figured my system was totally frozen since shutting the lid did nothing & hitting space bar didn't do anything. I'll see if really it still will react to being told to sleep again. I'm really wondering if this is still just a software bug or some kind or logic or hardware problem. My nearest apple store is 75 miles away & I figure this wouldn't be a same day swap/replacement...
