Has anyone tried to use monitor mirroring or video out to put iChat on a television monitor? If the quality is good, with a little bit of work, you might be able to use a DV firewire camera, a television, and a mac laptop to put video conferencing right on your living room television set. Throw in some wireless networking and you might be able to do even more.

AirView app is free-app, no need to be cracked for itunes to install it.
I am sure someone out there has it on their itunes....

That is a lot of money.
I would feel guilty if I did not call Paypal to inform them of the error.

It is in the beginning between these two:
@synthesize window=_window;
@synthesize myViewController=_myViewController;
I don't see why it would be spitting that error at you ... very weird.
Could you upload the project somewhere for me to download?

They should last much longer since they have no moving parts that can break down like a traditional spinning hard drive.
SSDs will slow down quite a bit if there is no TRIM or other garbage collection happening, which you definitely won't have to worry about after Lion comes out. Right now only SSDs that come with Apple computers have garbage collection support out of the box now.

I have all my videos on an external hard drive. I have it setup so that all movies are in "Movies", my tv shows are in "Tv Shows" and so on. I find placing movies that i ripped in a folder is faster to find and watch, i do not think itunes handles +500GB worth of movies very well.

Shoot ... it's not looking good, huh. :(
I'm sorry about the lost file, but it isn't completely gone yet.
Depending on how important that file is to you, you might want to get a quote from these guys...
http://www.drivesavers.com/
They specialize in recovering data from damaged hard drives, but can also recover accidentally deleted files too - both from Macs and PCs.

I've made up my mind, I'm going to switch after the new G5's come out. I have a couple of questions.
1. I do a lot of work with Oracle, and one of the windows programs I use is TOAD, which in unavailable on a Mac. Does anyone have experience running this in VPC?
2. I also have to connect to customers using a handful of different VPN clients (Nortel, Aventail, and CheckPoint). I plan on keeping my Windows laptop around for this, but am curious if any one has been able to make these kinds of connections through VPC.
Thanks!

I have the Altec Lansing 2.1 FX 6021 speakers and they are awesome.
Unfortunately the sub blew and was searching for a similar type of audio performance/design/price range for 2.1 speakers.
Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!

^^ that sounds like a great idea. This country is becoming full of these nutcases.
To be fair, "these nutcases" have been predicting things like this for centuries, its nothing new.

Hi,
I searched with no success.
I had some garageband issues trying to download the guitar lessons. Several of them wouldn't download, giving me an error each time it tried. I deleted them all and tried to re-install them. It won't work. I deleted .plist file, as suggested on the apple forums.
When I open garageband, and select Learn to Play, it has a selection at the bottom "Visit the lesson store..." When I try to visit the lesson store, I get an error stating The lesson store is temporarily unavailable" I've gotten this for 2 days now.
Any ideas?

That's interesting ;) I was at Stoke on Trent when I realised I no longer want my PSP.
I've got a feeling this will be like the Dreamcast for me. In that I didn't really care much when it was popular (aka expensive), but as soon as the price dropped and friends were selling them off for stupidly little amounts of money that beared no correlation to the number of games and accessories bundled I was in there like a shot. I love the system but there just didn't feel like a rush to own one.

Hey guys. I'm trying to work on a guide page that had a malformed title.
Here's what I did. The original entry was "Power Macintosh G3 (Blue". I renamed that to what the intended title was... "Power Macintosh G3 (Blue & White)". However, I now want to delete the original page, which currently has a re-direct to the new page. However, each time I try to delete it, it deletes the new (correct) page.
How do I go about doing this?
Here are the links:
http://guides.macrumors.com/Power_Macintosh_G3_%28Blue (you will see the redirect at the top, which was the old title page)
