Heh, changing horses in the middle of production is a bold maneuver.
So you decided to ditch the CG smoke cat? Was it not going to work?

Cool stuff - looked great. The GoPro seems great and no jellycam at all.

Glad you are enjoying yourself - it seems you are easily amused.
It is not always safe to assume that through the backup/restore process that every little thing is backed up - many manufacturers treat SMS messages differently - I wanted to be sure.
Thank you for making me feel welcome.
I apologize, and was giving a kind ribbing (hence the :D)
Did not know you'd take it do seriously. Welcome to MR.

Quite an upgrade from 1997 I'd say :p
Same goes for the website. I forgot how ugly the internet used to be!

I'm a great lover of greens & browns. I also love floating bookshelves when you have no floor space. Note the small area rugs, one is a shag which gives the room a warm feeling. Stay away from too much white, too hard to keep clean. Not everyone likes pictures on the walls but I love landscapes myself. You can buy a poster and buy a frame for it, this is a lot cheaper than paying a framer. I find some great stuff in flea markets, lamps, blankets, pillows, pictures. In one picture a wall is covered with old planks to give it a warm rustic flavor. Another has the walls painted different colors. Do you have a favorite photograph? What colors are in it. You have to make a small collection of what you like, no matter the cost, this chair, that painting, this suit, that jacket and be creative. Figure out what it is you like about them and find a cheaper substitute.
Yeah, my bedroom is ALL white. Thats because there was a fire in my house in 2007. Since them, we are still buying new stuff. My plan is to paint one of the walls in a gray/green color (confusing?). I like "cold colors", something that reminds the winter, you know?
I AM REALLY going to buy a panorama picture (or print it using the method the other user tought me above). I love beaches and ocean (I am a diver).
Actually, I feel more comfortable in my bedroom. I promisse I'll upload new pictures tomorrow. Its not something like "wow, everything has changed" ehehhe. But... its just a start!

Hi all,
I have a late 2007 24" Al iMac with BT and AirPort. I just ordered a Kindle Wi-Fi only from Amazon. I don't have (or want) a wireless modem.
Anyone know if I will be able to access the web by running the Kindle wefi to the iMac BT? I think both use the 802.11b/g/n standard.
Thanks for any info.
Bluetooth and most 802.11 devices use the same 2.4ghz frequency but you can't use one with the other, you have to have both ends on the same technology.
You can use Internet sharing from something like ethernet to wifi.

Just looking for a AirPlay enabled dock or speaker system that'll allow me easily stream audio from my iDevices. Does any one have anything like this or have any recommendations? The easier the system is to use the better. Looking to keep it under $300. Thanks!

LOL. Climte gate showed the world that junk science and data suppression are the norm amongst these fraudsters, and that they'll stoop to any level to "prove" their preposterous theories. These global warming "scientists" are laughing stocks.

I have been using a netgear WGR614 v4 for over 6 months without a single interruption in connection. I am 70 feet away through two bathrooms (lots of pipes) and other wooden/drywalled walls. We also have other devices in the house running at 2.4ghz and they do not interfere at all. This absolutely blows the pants off of the M$ router i had at first. I got my netgear on ebay brand new in the box for 19 dollars shipped.

Oops! I guess this is the last item, not that previous..lol. Applecare; yes...definitely worth the cost. I'd get it closer to the end of year one though, that'll give 4 really. If you get it now, there's overlap. At least that's how it used to work?
It overlaps regardless. Applecare adds 2 years to the end of your factory warranty. It also makes it so that you have the full 3 years of phone support (unlimited) instead of just one call within the first 90 days. If you think you might need help doing anything, the phone support is very much worth it; even if nothing ever goes wrong hardware-wise with your machine. One thing - unless you get the student discount somehow, don't buy Applecare from Apple. Do it on Amazon and you can save some money.

It will probably work fine but silicone will stretch and lose shape over time plus may get "dirty" looking. TPU is a much better material, you can find them cheap on eBay, usually a couple of dollars. Some of the cheaper cases might not fit as well being that they are made with lesser quality in mind, but thats not to say you cant find a good either. All depends what your looking for.

Hello,
I am excited about Lion being released! I am thinking about purchasing a MBP when it comes out.
However, my concern is I also need to run mobile apps (ie for iPad) for my clients. Will I be able to run apps made for iphone/ipad through Lion somehow.. either through a third party program or on the mac OS.
Thanks in advance.

Should work just fine, Windows installs to different drives and has dual booting. I would use Bootcamp as well.

Hello everyone,
I have now made the conversion to Mac (MacBook pro, iPad, airport express and time capsule.) Loving every product! I had a question....is there a way to turn the airport express into a wireless router? I find myself on projects where I have only 1 static ip address to one modem. How do in turn my airport express into a router that does DHCP so I dont have to be hardwired to my clients device? If there is anyone out there that can help......please do!

Hi Pro's,
I have a MacPro from and lately I have had some annoying experiences.
A lot of applications (iTunes, MS office, even the Installer) stop responding after a little while. The beach ball comes inside
What can be done?
Yes, I have emptied the cachefiles every now and then
Yes, I have restarted with option-CMD-P-R
and yes, it helps a bit, but after some time the stopping starts again.
Who can help me with any advice, or should I just re-install all these applications ( again).
Thanks in advance
Best,
Carlo

Click, and click everywhere! If it appears it can be clicked, click it. If it appears it can't, click anyway.
I learnt Mac OS X back in 2001 by myself just by experimenting and exploring. There is very little in Mac OS X that you can damage irreparably simply by fiddling unless you are a Unix freak.
MacOSXHints.com and friends were my best bet for hard to work out problems and never be afraid to ask a Mac user a question, they are generally quite friendly and willing to help you out.

If it looks like what they showed on the android (or whatever the phone is on the verizon "there's a map for that" commercial) then it should be pretty awesome.

i feel really stupid asking this. but how do i add all my apple products to my signature when i post a comment.
i'd actually love a somewhat 'original' signature.
not sure if anyone actually cares how many or which apple products you own ;)
