There is currently close to 3200 users/guests viewing the Forums, I'm fairly sure this will increase as we move closer to the Keynote speech.
Are there any statistics on the site showing traffic and users logged in?
Does anyone know the record numbers for traffic and users/guests viewing the forums/site?

i can do anything with beejive that i can do when i've used whatsapp, but have the advantage that i can also talk to people that don't have smart phones.....
BBM is a gimmick that is dying, look at the fact that RIM are now working on making BBM work on android and iOS... desperation there....
Wait so they're making BBM work for all phones? Making it a cross platform messenger thing?

I had an idea last night to do a sort of brand campaign for Apple like the old Think Different ads but with the slogan 'empowered' where massive billboards would be filled with famous faces who have been empowered by Macs, preferrebly this side of the millenium.
This one is called 'empowered - music'

Basically I had planned to do ones for TV and films but it hasn't turned out quite as well as I hoped so i'm not sure now.
I chose Madonna and Dr. Dre since they have both been in Apple keynotes in the past and are pretty much the queen of pop and king of rap music genres.

It's just like how they don't allow At&t or Verizon to put logos on the iPhone. They invest a lot in design and they don't want anything to distract from it.

Hello, i start to work with xcode 4 an application for mac and i use 4-5 different windows, eveything works well so far but i want to know when i have a window active how all the other windows are inactive.
Is it works in xcode or i have to make one single window and change views?

Crackdown is too "bouncy," if that makes sense. I don't like the over the top jumping and climbing. GTA is more "real."

False. Tell that to the reduced framerates and skipping animation.
Any proofs, or we'll stop on "just sayin'"? ;) Maybe something wrong with your setup?

Hello,
Today I am trying to install ubuntu 11.04 in the lastest version of VMWare Fusion. I have installed it, but whenever I boot I get this screen:
http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h386/Blakeasd/Screenshot2011-04-28at110735AM.png
The tools don't install, I even let it sit for an hour. Is there anyway to bypass this installation of VMWare Tools? I tried to Cancel Installation of Tools in the menubar but that didn't work. I really want to try out Ubuntu 11.04.
Please Help,
Thanks

It's a niche market for now, and most users don't use it at all. But once peripherals start using TB, it will become more widespread. But peripheral manufacturers won't rush out products until there is a good install base of computers that support TB. For that to happen, Apple will need to support it throughout its product line. Whether that happens this year or by the beginning of 2012 depends on when the products get updated. All new Macs will have TB.
Of course, if it's limited to Macs it will still be a niche market. Unless it's adopted by the PC market, it could become the next FireWire (superior to USB in many respects, but not omnipresent like the latter). In addition to hard drives and monitors, I think we'll soon see TB connectors on scanners, cameras and more.
In terms of bandwidth, the desktop can do better by using other cards in PCIe slots. On the laptops though, it offers more bandwidth than they've had access to previously (eSATA ExpressSlot cards aren't anywhere near as fast as TB is).
TB is convenient for laptops and devices as well, which is expected to help promote adoption for that market (i.e. see single disks on TB, and allow for others to be connected to a single port via Daisy Chaining). And Intel's aimed this at all computer users (even seen a phone advertised with TB), so it's not exclusive to Apple. So I do expect more devices to actually ship within a year or so as adoption increases (need more systems to release that are currently in development, as like you, I do see a bit of a "chicken and egg" situation).

Yeah, we traded away the ability to see titties in the morning paper for more "perceived freedoms". I'm not sure when they made the swap but I think we as citizens got hosed.
