You might be able to save on tax if buying from a reseller, depending on what state you live. And they might have lower ($50??) prices and usually have free shipping.

I'm interested but your price is too high. Amazon offers it for ~$78 shipped. Would you do $50?

Well, I believe Apple have vowed to have iTunes Music Store Europe up and running at some time this year... and based on what I've read here and elsewhere it'll maybe be sometime this quarter (late July/August) or possibly it will drag out 'til Q4 2004. I guess we'll never know until Apple announce it, but I'm definitely excited about it coming - as long as the price is right!

Hello everyone!
I am wondering if somebody could help me. For the last 3 months I have been working on creating an animated stopmotion film. I have created the real 3D sets, done the clay figures and shot the still images. As I am not very good with computers and all the settings that there are, I just imported every single image from iPhoto into Imovie and changed the time lapse for each image to 0,2 and thats how I created the animated film. It looks good, but since the film is now over 5 min long, the software (or can it be my computer?)gets really slow. Sometimes I cant even watch the video, and definitely not in the full size mode, just on a small video image in imovie.
I am getting really stressed about this now since I have put so much work into it and just want to finish the project (maybe add another 2 more min) and export it to a dvd with as good quality as possible.
I started to read about imovie and discovered it isnt supposed to be used for stopmotion. So.. I just got istopmotion and did a small test reimporting just onescene, then trying to export it, and importing it into imovie (i like using imovie because of all the possibilities of playing around with contrasts and colors)
But now the quality of the images looks really bad. It isnt at all as sharp as before. I have tried so many different settings while exporting from istopmotion, but it doesnt seem to make much difference. I am working in 4:3 ration, and the best option seems to be HD ( but in 16:9 only) so that doesnt seem to work.
Does anybody have any advice for me?
Should I use a completely different software for this and start from scratch?
Or is there maybe just some small trick that I am missing??
I would be very thankful for help!
Lia
What codec is istopmotion exporting the video at? It's probably compressing the video before you send it back into iMovie which is exactly what you don't want it to do.

radiation is not like a virus, it's not infective and the signal gets diluted at each passage through a host.
yes, there will be some radiation passed through animal that ate radioactive material or that flew/swam/walked/crawled through contaminated areas, but the damage would mostly be to said animals, not whatever later comes in contact with it.
that said, eating produce or animal from that area is certainly a bad idea.

http://psp.ign.com/articles/775/775176p1.html
16 articles which are all interviews with different developers, some first some third party, about what they like about the PSP, what they would like to see Sony do, and some brief thoughts on the future of the handheld.
I haven't read them all yet, but most are pretty good and give a ray of hope that PSP will continue to put out good games in the future (yes, it does have good games :P) and on it's future integration with networking/PS3/add-ons/firmwares.

That is funny. But, just like those funniest home videos, you have to wonder if they are real or staged.

I am wondering why the 21.5"w/SSD will get theirs in 2-3 weeks, while the 27"'s will take 4-6 weeks with the same SSD config.

I edited the main.cf file and replace the "myhostname" with server.$mydomain and then everything started working. The smtp is responding now on both 25 and 587 and I can send and receive mail perfectly.
I want to thank everyone here who pointed me in the right direction. Without your help I could not have fixed this problem.
many thanks!

well for me theres nothing more to read about the imac and im going to buy mine tomorrow and not wait 3 more weeks, again ,its not like its super easy and super free, u have to pay for it and then wait for a rebate.
My experience with Apple and rebates is that they're quite fast. You submit electronically and you can get your rebate within 2-3 weeks.

Well...I'm thinking about building an 800mhz mini-itx box, don't want to run windows, and I want to run Seti@home. What linux distro would be best for this?
Any distro will do. It really depends on your familiarity with unix-type systems. I don't know what the more popular 'end-user' linux distros are these days, but I do know that Ubuntu is a hot distro right now. I personally have Slackware on my two Linux boxes, and I love it.

Why does macrumors.com now redirect to macrumorslive.com?
Maybe they're testing and Arn has someone with an invite to live blog next week's event???

I agree an alarm/timer app would be nice. They should be able to do that with just an OS update.
That's the only thing it needs.
No alarm function because there is no speaker. As for the timer, try swiping left/right in the clock app ;)
My wife runs all the time with hers. She uses the Nike+ system along with some very pricey Sony bluetooth headphones with a remote builtin. I almost bought her a Nano because I know it most of the features she wants. However, the bluetooth headphones wouldn't work.
Any tips or should I just wait for the Sonys to day and see about a Nano then?
You can always get a Bluetooth headphone jack transmitter and pair that with a set of wireless Bluetooth earbuds/headphones. This addition goes for CHEAP on websites like eBay, Amazon, Google Shopping, etc., and it's an excellent alternative if you have a non-Bluetooth iPod

About time wireless sync came to iOS 4. As good as the iPhone is it is really archaic to have to plug in to sync everything. We shouldn't have to over pay for MobileMe to wireless sync in our own homes!
