However, I started on a Fender starter pack. It was decent but eventually sold it (now I regret it).
i just got this and had my first lesson a couple days ago so i'm fresh, but pretty excited. seemed like a great guitar for the price and all you get with it, though the tuner is pretty garbage and the dvd wouldn't even load.
i was going to start a thread but saw this one. anyone have any good online resources for learning guitar or can recommend any specific youtube video series or something?

They are legit,
I have ordered my rebel sim card since Apr 13th and today has been shipped. I already have my DHL tracking number, it should be here in around 3 days. Will let you know if it works!

I love wolfram alpha.
I just wish it didn't make me feel stupid every time I use it.

Lands which once were prosperous have been contaminated by a terrifying spell. Skies in which the sun used to shine are now red like blood and torn by an evil vortex which spins menacingly in the distance. The locals, once peaceful people of the earth, have turned into blood thirsty renegades and the dark creatures of the night have crawled out of the shadows and now roam the desolate landscape. The air is thick with smoke and decay.
It is said that a mysterious cult has settled in the old ruins of the local castle, and during one of their unholy rituals, has inadvertently opened a gateway to hell...
Enter Thorak, a barbarian warrior from the wild kingdoms of the east cursed by an unquenchable thirst for battle. He comes to these forsaken land in a quest for answers to his ruthless condition and to establish the ultimate truth of the battlefield, that of victory.
Join Thorak the barbarian as he travels the unforgiving roads of the Dark Realms. Soothe his battle lust by fighting the minions of the Evil Lord in a journey that will take you into the darkest recesses of the earth. Will the barbarian ever find redemption from his inner demons of destruction or will he perish in combat and burn in the eternal flames?

That looks like my first guitar ( the OP's) , and as somebody already said here, if you can learn to play on a wider neck other guitars seem easier to play, IMHO.
That's not necessarily the case. It took me a while to get used to fretting on an electric guitar with its narrower neck having learned on an acoustic guitar which has a wider neck. I find a wider neck means you don't have to be as precise with your fretting fingers whereas the narrower the neck the less space between strings means you have to be on your fingertips all the time - otherwise you end up muting the surrounding strings.
Garageband's lessons are actually pretty cool - the basic free ones are as good as most of the DVDs I've seen in the starter packs but with the advantage that they are slightly more interactive and easier to navigate around. The artist lessons are also cool I have bought a few but haven't got down to using them yet.
Another very good online resource is www.freeandeasyguitar.com I've learnt a few songs from the videos there.

Something like that should never happen. Did they tell y'all why the power went out? Usually generators are at hospitals for the very reason.

I'm thinking of getting a MBP soon, but obviously, I want to have Lion on it. I remember that in previous years, you could buy a Mac right before a new release came out, and they would ship you an upgrade CD when it was released free of charge. So, for example, if it was a month before OS X Snow Leopard came out, you would buy a Mac with Leopard and they would ship you the Snow Leopard upgrade CD a month later. Does anyone know when that'll happen (or if it'll happen) for Lion?

I thought the same thing after having my phone replaced earlier this week. The screen feels amazing! Does anyone know how long it takes before it fades off?
I noticed about 5 months for me. Im not a heavy user, but I think it faded off faster from sliding in and out of my pocket.

I see one typo here:
<style type="text/css"">
Notice the extra " at the end. That can definitely cause issues.
I also recommend running your page through the HTML validator (http://validator.w3.org/), which can help identify these kinds of problems.

so everybody can buy an imac, try it and return it used after 14 days and apple doesnt care? that doesnt make much sense
Everyone can, but not everyone does. I didn't, for one...!
It makes perfect sense. Many vendors have 'NQA' return periods. It demonstrates a confidence in the product, and encourages those buyers 'on the fence' to give it a try.

For a computer based method (using Endnote for instance) I would make a dummy document with all the citations and then use your bibliography text to make the reference list and compare, otherwise (and that used by most proof readers) manually tick them off one by one.

Hmm, found the GIMP printer application, but it works only for USB printing.
What I need is something that will allow me to print to the printer plugged in to the AirPort if possible.
