I'll take a look for Quadras.

A cable on the Mac serial or printer port connects to an old Opcode miidi interface designed for the Macs of those days. Two midi cables then connect to the Tascam M-3700 recording console for bi-directional communication with the Mac.

The software itself was known as JL Cooper Pro3700 automation and always worked great with the Performa and Plus. Those tiny b&w displays were what I never liked.

The mbox mini has no midi in/out, so if you do get that one, the keyboard will have to go directly to the computer through USB. There's not really any reason this wouldn't work in pro tools, I've done the same thing but with a different program.

If you can find the class or id that the css is referencing for the popup, you should be able to change the z-index in the css of that element. That might easily fix the issue. You could also change the z-index of the element that contains the pdf to -1. That might work too. Or both.

I would normally agree with the Ati X850XT. I have both that and the 6800 Ultra. The 850 is a bit quieter, but doesn't seem to perform any better in games based on my tests. I stick with the 6800 Ultra because it's performance in Motion beats the pants off the X850. Yeah, it's a bit louder and takes up 2 slots, but I don't use more than two slots myself (I don't generally think that because a powerful card takes up 2 slots is a reason to avoid it. Many people don't use all the slots), and the noise doesn't bother me, but it's performance is noticeably better than the X850 in a program I use constantly.

Yea... I got tired of waiting for Ultrasnow, and I recently received a replacement iPhone on 4.3.1, which cannot be unlocked at the moment, so I had to go the Rebel Sim route.

They are nice folks at Waterfield, and the service is first-rate. I actually carry my Powerbook in a Crumpler McBain's Lovechild (really love Crumpler bags), but I've got both Waterfield's iPod sleeve and their iSight case. I'm sure their laptop cases rock.

Boy am I glad that I have no kids in school right now....

As a product of the Minnesota Public School system, I can tell you, without a doubt, that there was no "pushing out" of minority students. There was no "perpetuating white privilege".

And people still have the nerve to complain about school budget cuts. Maybe if we didn't send our teachers to crap "seminars" like this, we could have newer text books, or higher on another teacher, or whatever it is people think we need.

Did you even bother to go to the WPC website and read about them, or is this simply some knee jerk reaction you're parroting from a right wing bloviator?

The name of the group is sort of odd, but reading through it, they are taking a different approach to racism and that is to be commended.

Somehow given your history here, I doubt you'd have problems with the seminar if it concerned right wing principles.

Met up with some friends at the West County store at about 5:00. We were about 10th in line. We mostly just talked, watched the line wrap around the mall, and I spent a few minutes on my PowerBook. A lot of people had iPhones (I don't have one :(). It was really exciting as it got closer and closer to 6:00. Then there was the obligatory countdown, the doors opened, and I got the free tshirt. :)

I spent about 20 or 30 minutes in there, checking out Leopard before I installed. It was pretty busy, and they had the store employees walking around with the scanners. When we left there was still a long line of people waiting to get in.

    I love these Apple events!
    :)

    Hi guys,
I am very close to purchasing a Mac Dev. Account. I would like to have direct access to the upcoming betas and Xcode. Do you guys see the Dev. Account as a 'rewarding' purchase? (if it is not a necessity for your income).

    Thank you :)

For myself, absolutely. I'm not an active developer anymore, I'm just a hobbyest these days. I love to play with stuff. So I think it well worth the cost being able to play with XCode and OS betas and Mac OS X server.

I got into web design in March this year--with a free Zoomshare site. My bikes were broken and the weather was poor, so I gave it a shot. I used NVU (http://www.nvu.com) up until July. CJB (http://www.cjb.cc) allowed me to be a little more creative on my site, and eventually I bought a domain name and upgraded hosting.

What's kept me going, even though I haven't made a dime yet (free projects), is trying to produce tidy code and learning new CSS tricks. From July-August, I learned CSS and XHTML (strict...). Next summer, I hope to learn PHP, then XML, and so on. What's frustrated me most since March is IE6. My design (http://www.deldindesign.com) site gets a little messed up in IE, so I've got some work to do still...

Is that MS IE6? If so it is full of bugs and is a pain too design for. It stinks, but 83% (http://www.thecounter.com/stats/2005/August/browser.php) of browser users or 63.7 Million people still use it. Firefox is second at 8% or 5.8 Million users (Firefox usage has actually increased quite substantially since its release).

It looks like we will be designing pages with MS IE6 in mind for quite some time, no matter how much of a pain in the ass it is. At least Netscape 4.0 isn't used much anymore, it used to be a nightmare to design for.

I wonder who the 15 people using Netscape 1.0 are?

    Notes:
    - All work is original, except for of course, the MacBook. I took it from colorware.
    - I tried my best to imitate the new remastered nano Ads, don't know if I succeeded.
    - Hope you like it :o

lol.. I think the people writing these articles need to study some economics, or at least under concepts of market share.

As the iPad was the first major product of its type, and released long before other personal computer makers could release such a model, what does one expect? lol..:D The fact that Samsung has released a tablet, and now RIM is releasing one soon, will further eat into market share for Apple.

Whether by this time next year, Apple will have the highest market share remains to be seen. If they do, then perhaps marginally.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-gb) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/8C148)

I got it from the UK in December when the
price kept jumping between 140-160 (I've just saw it advertised for 99).

I should've put a ;) at the end of my post.

I guessed it'd be replaced by the end of next year but didn't think Nintendo would release details so soon (and hoped there'd be a few more good games).

Also annoying that every day IGN announced it's death for the last few months!

Hopefully this new console will be able to compete not only with the current PlayStation and Xbox, but also what ever they bring out next.
