Do a simple layout. What is the rooms dimensions, the furniture? By what I see you can not fit anything else in the room so what you need is color. Get a nice little area rug that you like and use it as a base for setting the color for the rest of the room.

here's a sample equation to test:

Well, I don't think you'll see a lot in terms of the i5 vs. the i7 for what you're doing. I'd get it with the std, 4GB, and upgrade to 8GB later if you think you'll need it. My guess is no, but don't buy what you don't need...
As for iWork vs. Office debate; hard to say. We use iWork with no issues at all. I have Office through work, and honestly for home use, and my son @ school, we all use iWork. It's fast, easy, and simple.
All the other stuff should be fine. Camera's, etc. should all work out of the box. Don't listen to some; iPhoto is great, and works for what it's intended for...if you need more, then go to Aperture, or something like it.
Lastly; 6 years? Hard to tell. Not knowing what you're expectations are. If you're expecting it to last 6 years, then you may want to go to the i7 to extend the processor out a bit. I have no doubt that the OS will run fine, and that the system should last close to 6 years, and perform okay. But it's no guarantee...
Oops! I guess this is the last item, not that previous..lol. Applecare; yes...definitely worth the cost. I'd get it closer to the end of year one though, that'll give 4 really. If you get it now, there's overlap. At least that's how it used to work?

I've been trying to make an image of my hard drive so I can burn it to a CD or a DVD. I want to do a sparse image. When I do it, I always get errors. Usually something stating the disk is in use. I even get similar errors when I boot from my Panther CD and try to use that Disk Utility. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know.
I imagine he means the fast task switching part of the "multitasking" APIs.
Which the iPhone 3G can take advantage of, of course...

Apparently it is OK; here is a tweet from MuscleNerd:

upper cache.. i was told by a friend that it is a way to download images to a computer only once, even though you may have it in many places. for example, a title bar. so it doesn't have to download the image again every time they go to a new page wasting your precious bandwidth. if anyone can tell me what it is better, how to do it, or where to find out how to do it, i would really appreciate it..
your browsers does all that for you...

I bought iEmulator and I'm very happy with it. I had some setup difficulties and contacted them through their support email and got an answer, from Richard, within ten minutes.
I recommend it - it works fine.

All of a sudden I can't see brush shapes, rather the eyedropper is always visible.First click changes the color as the eyedropper would and then I can paint, the tool shape is visible but letting go of the mouse reverts to the eyedropper. Very weird and very hard to work with. I've tried quitting and restarting but no luck.

I heard the iPad 3 will be SO THIN that the thing looks almost transparent. The pictures you take appear to be the image right in front of you. OH and the screen can expand to WATEVER SIZE YOU WANT. Simply move your hands apart to expand the screen size!
Jesus... Just buy the damn iPad. There'll always be something better in the future...

thank you!!
I am about to order 27'' i7, I still don't know if 1gb or 2gb video ram. I think vram is useful for virtualizing windows seven: 512mb vram for virtualbox, the rest for mac os x.
I changed 4 imacs i7 2010 because of yellow tinge issue. I live in Italy, so maybe Apple will send me an imac from the same stock of your one: did apple send it from cork, ireland?
I hope so
thank you!!

Well I think it'll take me some time to learn to navigate my way around. I will have to do this next clients website my old way and learn WP in my spare time ....I was trying to use a child them of a Genesis theme and trying to find certain css in PHP files was a disaster since it was a child them of the parent them....it was crazy...
I don't want to speak authoritatively and get slammed here because I'm just figuring this stuff out myself, but the BEST way I've found to do this is to downoad your ENTIRE directory that contains wordpress , then drag and drop it into TEXTMATE (http://macromates.com/) and then use command + shift + f to search through the ENTIRE wordpress directory, theme files, etc. to find what you need.
Seriously, I wouldn't even try unless you find a solution for this -- you're dealing with hundreds of files.

Thanks for the answers, you two.
The lack of screen real estate is one of the things I lament about my 13" Pro; everything just feels cramped when I start opening more programs. If reading the smaller texts is not an issue for 13" Air users, I think the switch will be safe. I will wait and see what the Air refresh brings...
If any other 13" Air owners want to chime in, I'd love to hear more.
I think you will love the 13" Air - especially because of the extra pixels. Try one and you will see. I went from a Unibody MB 1280x800 to my 13" MB Air, and the increase in screen real estate (27 %) blew me away. I could finally use spreadsheets on my notebook without feeling cramped.

Hi all
I've been on 4.0 for a while now (which I had jailbroken with jailbreakme). But lately I've been getting a message like 'you need 4.1 or higher to install this app'.
So I think it's about time to upgrade.
Now, I don't know much about all the jailbreaking stuff, that's why I loved jailbreakme, one click and it was done.
So my question to you is, to which version should I update and what should I use to jailbreak it?
It would be nice if I could keep all the apps + the fact that it would be a jailbreak which stays when I shutdown and restart my iPod.
Thanks!
Ps. It's a 3th gen MC model

Were you completely unaware of these facts prior to you going? I guess you wouldn't know you didn't get a bag, but otherwise? And shame on you for calling it "borderline discrimination". Really now. But my guess is you had to have had some knowledge of the days events with your "educator" pass and filing a complaint will not do you any good. You're going to do it, you seem rather pissed and as an educator or not I don't understand your logic behind it but it's obviously up to you.
Regardless of how much I disagree with the way you've portrayed your issues I also understand them. Apple could indeed give educators a bit more information so that they can bring the technology back to the schools. Apple isn't going to sell itself in schools and they should cater to the people in that field if those people paid to go to the conference. Heck, they should cater to everyone who paid that much money to watch a monkey talk about everything his company has created all day. ;) Not that I am against the guy but paying that much to see him speak seems all too funny to me.
