Not true, Apple usually has an update in the fall months for the MBPs. As other's have stated if you need it now, buy now. There is some talk of a redesign of the macbook pros, so who know is in store. That said new versions can sometimes have some quirks that need to be worked out as well.

Ironic that the 10.6.4 update breaks CS5, when the prevention of CS3 crashing was listed as one of it's bug fixes.

I have an incase sleeve and like it a lot. FYI the incase sleeve is $40 in the u.s.a. either at the apple store or any b & m store thats atleast what i have found.
They are several cases that are cheaper but I lug my mbp around a lot and felt the protection was a small insurance policy (with in reason).

Line goes all the way to Nordstroms and is now wrapping back towards Apple. Incredible number of people. My guess is that if you aren't here, don't bother.

hey guys:
'
I tried getting Windows to install via Bootcamp on my iMac and it was a no go. So I'm trying Parallels out . Got Windows 7 installed and I installed the Parallels tools.
Problem is I'm trying to update my Zune 80 and everytime I try to login to my Zune , I get error message: Cant access the server. Make sure your connected the the internet and there are no firewalls or proxy servers blocking access to the Zune service. Then try again.
I have tried turning off the firewall in Windows and Mac, tried to configure the right connections through Little Snitch and through Sophos and I'm still getting this message.
any ideas? I'm using the latest 21.5 iMac.

By your description it seems like you are asking how to make a text message from your black iphone 4 to a white iphone4. Well you just enter the phone number in the top field fill out the text and hit send.
However after another person explaining what you want, do you want to "tranfer the existing messages" or "send a new one"?

Update: Just got home, and the new box is just over half as big as the old box, and the instructions are in fact on the back of the old mini wrapper too.... strange I've never noticed! The colours are identical - not really that surprising for the silver I suppose! The only obvious difference is the inclusion of the 6GB sign on the back of tne new mini...
No this is not suprising, Apple only actually came out with three new colors for the mini, they choose not to alter the silver Ipod. I agree it may in fact be that sillver is ..welll...silver or because it is the hotest selling color.

Just my late '09 17" MBP. My parents are too set in Windows to try something else, but believe me, I've tried.

The Speck Candyshell is a nice case, its silicon on the inside but plastic on the outside so you don't really feel it and it has a pretty slim profile. I think it's about $20 from amazon
Hope this helps!

yes but if you say that the best human chess players can think 200 moves ahead and that is the measure of intelligence then isn't a machine that can think ahead thousands of moves therefore defined to be more intelligent?
If that is your measure of intelligence, then sure. But that is a very, very narrow measure and it only applies in very limited circumstances. Chess is a game tightly bound by logical rules and a limited game board (64 squares). Yet humans become good at chess by strategizing, not by memorizing moves. We do things like predict what the opponent is going to do, we can do psychological tricks like making moves that capitalize on the opponent's greed, stuff like that. We are doing more than simply looking ahead at the next X possible variations of the game and choosing the most optimal path.
That kind of processing works when there are limited options, but fails with open-ended scenarios (such as trivia question and answer).
When I ask you a trivia question you don't need to expend processing power trying to sort through thousands of possible interpretations of the question and then performing a statistical analysis to determine which is the most probable. Or maybe you do, but your brain does all kinds of filtering and association automatically and instantly. This is something that computers can't do yet. They can simulate it by essentially brute-forcing the answer so quickly that it seems like they're thinking, but they're not. Yet.
Watson has incredible natural language processing and data search abilities, and it looks like a fair bit of semantic knowledge processing. It's impressive, absolutely. But is it intelligent? No.

I'm not saying that your post really deserves a response, but c'mon...what do you expect? You downloaded and installed Kazaa, which is known for being spyware and adware infested and then you get (oh my!) adware and spyware. Not that surprising if you ask me.
With that said, just follow the directions that the last guy posted and you will get rid of it. There are versions of both Kazaa and limewire that come with or without adware and spyware, so just make sure that you are getting the good version (it might take some time to look for them.) Hope this helps!

You can use CSS to hide the scroll bars (overflow:hidden), then use JavaScript to set the scroll amount on the iframe. I'll let you search on that as I don't really have the time for it.

I'm not sure about your problem, but I can tell you about the battery calibration.
You're supposed to charge the battery fully, then unplug the PB and use it until it goes to sleep. Then you plug it back in, and let it charge back to 100% again. Apparently you should do this every couple of months.
I'm not sure if it matters, but it might be best if you don't reboot while calibrating, I think it interrupts the power flow when you do, although I'm not certain on this.
Hopefully the calibration will fix your problems.

I had not seen this one so thank you for suggesting it. I may get it for exactly what it is, a reminder program. I read the website and the FAQ and they clearly state they will not make it into a to do list so I am still looking for that. But I used to use a shareware program on my mac called 'reminder pro' and I loved it for those things you don't want to forget like 'pay property taxes' which just happens to need to happen by Saturday here.
I'll check back for any other suggestions.
Thanks again.
Have you checked out "Due"?
